Parking for the football and parking charge notices
bpsaint replied to saintmatt's topic in The Saints
It looked like all of the cars that parked outside Sulzer (turn left as you turn into the estate) had penalty notices stuck to the windscreen, but we parked out the front of the businesses opposite Screwfix and never had penalty notices. I’m guessing it’s dependent on which business people park outside of? -
Based off watching highlights rather than sitting through the entire game like we did: if 40 points is indeed the magic number this year then we need at least 4 wins and a few draws from 12 games - based on recent performances I just can’t see it. Unfortunately all of the teams around us seem to have a resurgence the same time that we did, it wasn’t that long ago people on here were saying it could be the lowest ever number of points to survive this season.

Gutting result, stupid from Stephens with the handball but as I said in the match thread the ref would have been itching to give that. Would have taken it pre match but ****ing hell does that feel like a punch in the gut.
-
If the ref sees that penalty appeal again at half time he’ll try and make amends second half I reckon

**** Sake, £18 million for that.

Loved that today - so many stand out performances, Bednarek and Hojbjerg immense, JWP and Remond looking completely different players from weeks ago. Hats off to everyone in the ground today, wasn’t sat in the Northam as usual but in the kingsland, and the noise coming from the itchen corner, Northam, and even the chapel at times was outstanding. Been a long time since I attended back to back league wins, in Ralph we trust.

Amazing result!! Currently in the King Power still enjoying my first taste of an Executive Box!!! Tough to not be able to go ****ing mental when we scored and at the final whistle!!!! Love Ralph, the difference this man has made already!!!

I’d rather see Sam in the team than Charlie or Shane to be honest.

Derby v Saints (FA Cup - 3rd Round) Build Up and match thread

Brilliant closing down by Cedric there, just brilliant. Same old same old -
The dead ball specialist JWP with his usual brilliance there....

Could they be this years team that come from nowhere and end up being promoted through the playoffs?
-
Best put my money on a Liverpool win then Aside from a Newcastle win today couldn’t have gone much worse.

McCarthy unsighted thanks to Romeu

Couple of hard fought wins and intense training taking their toll a bit? Certainly don’t look as fresh as West Ham

Save!! Oh no he missed ****ing hell wake up lads

Really felt after the result last week that we would get a win today and I’m so chuffed that we did!! Under Hughes I really didn’t expect to win another game this year, so to win two on the bounce really relieves the pressure. We look good going forward but still shaky at the back, I’ve got nice doubt though that Ralph will be taking action in the January window to sort that and if we can get there still outside the relegation zone I reckon we could make a good push for 10th-12th spot

Loving this, great pressure by Redmond!

****ing get in!!! Great pressure by Redders!!

Saints 3 - Arsenal 2 - I should start threads more often

They were all marking people, Romeu failed to track the run of Mkhitaryan. -

What a result - the difference in the team was visible already, playing the high press and getting crosses into the box quicker. Still need to cut out those individual errors, and Romeu just is not very good, look forward to seeing Lemina back in the hole. -
He might be a nice bloke but Yoshida was only ever good enough to be third place centre back behind Fonte, Lovren, Toby and vVD in recent years. The fact he is now considered to be our best CB at the moment is part of the reason we are in the position we are, diluting a strong squad with average replacements. Cabbage is right when he says his loyalty only extends as far as the size of the team that come in for him, I’m sure if United decided they need to flog more shirts in Japan and made an offer he’d be off like a shot regardles of how much game time he is likely to get. I’m not sure any of our current CB’s are in Ralphs plans come January, he’s no fool and I’m sure has been promised a transfer kitty of some kind for the Transfer Window. We wouldn’t get a manager so highly regarded without promising him funds surely.

I only remember it really because it was my only trip to Ninian Park. Absolutely lashed it down before, during and after the game, and I missed their winner dashing back to the car as I had to be back in Southampton by 7pm. Proper ****hole ground and surroundings. i think our goal was really well worked from what I remember - thought our young team might go on to surprise a few people that year, WRONG!!

Luckily we lost that game 2-1 to a scrappy late goal, not 1-0, so the superstitious amongst us can breathe a sigh of relief!!
