The Gig Thread.

Miserably failed to get tickets for Faith No More at the Roundhouse this morning. But hey, I can buy them from sites linked to the official sellers for at least twice the price.

Bastards.

Someone really needs to clamp down on that sh!t. It's such a ****!ng scam.

Know I always go on about it, but I'd give twickets a try. You can set up alerts now, so it will let you know if any come up.

Done

Hope you have some luck man. Tis a bit of a risk, as the tickets generally pop up on there last min. But as I said, it seems to work pretty well.

Kasabian on Thurs with Southampton's Craig David and Jessie Ware as support.

My 1st gig in ages, looking forward to it.

Ha, that's quite an interesting line up. Have taken the gf to see JW a couple of times now, she's really good.

FYI for The Cat (and might be of use to you Bletch), that new alerts feature on Twickets is pretty good. You get an email as soon as a ticket is posted. Managed to get the Sharon van Etten tickets I was after.

Pretty easy to set up too so I'd recommend giving it a look.

This was last night, she was superb. Her voice is stunning, and god the intensity of those songs really comes through live. Would absolutely recommend seeing her.

Since I last posted.

Linkin Park @ O2, they were damn good.

Beans on Toast and Will Varley @ Rescue Rooms in Nottm - superb. Recommend them both.

Probably a few others. Taking me mum to Kylie...

So far this year just the one gig. Public Service Broadcasting at Leicester space centre for their album launch. Damn good night.

Have coming up:

Foo Fighters this weekend maybe.... damn the broken leg.

Faithless in August.

Prodigy in November

Madonna in December (Taking my mum as a bday present...)

A-Ha in March (my mum again for mothers day...,, Ok not totally true, will be 5th time I have seen them.)

Not sure why my dad won't take her...

The Strokes at Hyde Park were phenomenal. Support acts Syd Arthur and Future Islands were great (check out the dance moves of the Future Islands' lead singer, his body-rolling puts Beyonce to shame!), Beck got everyone in the crowd going except me and my friend - just didn't get it. Seeing the Strokes live is one ticked off the bucket list and they didn't disappoint.
