Weston Saint Posted 25 June, 2009 Share Posted 25 June, 2009 So here were are, 6pm on Thursday 25th June and the employees wages not paid. Unless Pinnacle have agreed to complete the deal tomorrow or another buyer enters exclusivity with a non refundable deposit I can see the next move from the Administrators will be to liquidate the club. They have no money coming in and no money in the kitty to pay bills since Administration. Are the employees being asked to continue to work for nothing? Should the Administrators not be making a formal statement?

S-Clarke Posted 25 June, 2009 Share Posted 25 June, 2009 There needs to be clarification now...I just hope the Swiss guy's are deadly serious - because the door HAS to close on pinnacle's bid
Mole Posted 25 June, 2009 Share Posted 25 June, 2009 Michael Fillka said Pinnacle would be doing the deal possibly within hours. Tomorrow will be the day when we are bought IMO so the wage issue will be resolved then.
ottery st mary Posted 25 June, 2009 Share Posted 25 June, 2009 I agree....wait on Jacko on way to ground with full suitcase from under his bed....Really. Wages should be paid tomorrow...But would you pay then Fry enters into business with others who are just pulling your plonker....I would try to get a further deal because there ain't nobody else out there about to put 1 mil down for wages etc....Pinnacle is our best bet..... Has Jacko arrived yet....
Mr Nice Posted 25 June, 2009 Share Posted 25 June, 2009 I cannot see how anyone else will get involved to buy the club. Pinnacle could simply buy the club the next day and the new preferred bidders money goes up in smoke.

I am still hopeful Pinnacle will complete shortly but every day that has gone by since last Friday makes it less likely.

Rogerfryisalegend Posted 25 June, 2009 Share Posted 25 June, 2009 I have no proof of this, but, I have just been told the staff have now been paid. Does anyone know someone who works at the club that can confirm this?

Does anyone know someone who works at the club that can confirm this? This would be a crucial development. Please don't tell me that we're so un-connected that we can't even verify this. NickG Posted 25 June, 2009 Share Posted 25 June, 2009 not surprising that Pinnacle haven't paid - why should they until the clus is theirs?
Greenridge Posted 25 June, 2009 Share Posted 25 June, 2009 not surprising that Pinnacle haven't paid - why should they until the clus is theirs? It would demonstrate good intention. I know many of us are questioning the developments of this evening but you just have to assume (dangerous I know) that Fry is comfortable with the funding arrangement Pinnacle are presenting. Alain Perrin Posted 25 June, 2009 Share Posted 25 June, 2009 Fry answers only to the creditors. No statement is necessary. Nice, yes. Interesting, yes - but keeping the fans informed is not in his job description.
