Regardless of who the money men are, I believe in Matt Le Tissier!

Frankly, I couldn't care less how much money Pinacle have, they have kept us in the loop for better or worse and seem to be behaving farly honourably and decently, the thing is, they have stated they will leave the footballing side of things to MLT, and that is reason enough for me to want to see this deal completed.

To have a totally commited and connected guy like Le Tiss as our chairman would be exactly the shot in the arm we need, he is universally liked, is a PR dream and is known throughout the footballing world for his ability and association with us! He seems totally fired up for this new role and i'm sure not one of us would wish to see him fail. And considering the intelligence, tact and desire he has shown so far I have no reason to think he would.

So what if pinnacle are not the multi billionaires that would be what some sections of the fanbase wouldn't settle less for, they will ensure we have a club to follow next season, and with a man like Le Tissier at the helm to run things as he sees fit it can only be exciting.

Come on, lets get things finalised and push on!

I think this deserves a new thread all the others are negative, and I share the sentiment, we must be positive, we will not know the hard facts until the takeover is completed, and I have the feeling today is going to be the day that we get answers!

I am looking forward to finding out who the new manager will be for one thing

Regardless of how many threads are discussing the same thing, let's start another one.

This is a thread focusing on the positives, frankly anything of that nature has been lost in a load of 'I told you so' rubbish in the other threads.

I feel a bit worried for him... and if pinnacle goes tits up, it will simpy highlight a bit of naiviety on his behalf - but he wont go down in my estimations. BUt maybe it was awwarning sign as I am not sure what MLT would bring as Chairman as he does not have teh commercial experience necessary to drive through a strategic plan for a business on a VERY tight financial budget that needs rebuilding - position on the board sure but Chairman? Seems to me he was offered that role because of teh way that looks to fans and how much it woudl appeal superficially... dissapopinted with Pinnacle and feel let down by these latest issues..

It's like a plot for a "The Sting 2" movie isn't it.

Wouldn't be surprised if one of the men who ruined the club in the first place isn't putting up a scam that would make Henry Gondorf look like a choirboy.

I presume this Fialka bloke isn't the real deal, excuse my ignorance as I haven't had time to catch up yet.

I think MLT has been sucked into something without knowing the whole truth behind Fialka and Pinnacle.

I also believe he was caught unawares as to Fialka tv appearance and to his full, and proper credentials, to takeover at SFC.

IMO.

If that is the case not great credentials for prospective chairman of a football club. I also find it strange that MLT had never met Fialka before because if he had why would his TV appearances bother him or was that the real reason for hiding the identity of the money man?

Fry must be culpable somewhere in all this mess but equally MLT's reputation is on the line IMO and I would like an explantion from the one man in all this that you would hope would not spin us a line.

The man who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new and my one over riding hope is that MLT comes out of this wiser and stronger and is offered the same role if not similar with any new backers.

As I said on another thread his reputation and revered status does not exonerate him from providing us all an explanation as to why it has gone so hideously wrong. I hope he is now assessing the situation and reviewing the facts to provide an explanation and cement his reputation as a potential director of this club.

If MLT does become chairman of Southampton Football Club I believe he will employ people to report back to him & do the messy bits while he does the bits that grab the headlines not unlike the way he played

Also MLT will only be football chairman sure that there will be a business chairman dealing with the rest of the issues like non team matters
