Was at St Marys last weekend... 100% reliable source. Not saying that he will be our next manager, but it wouldn't be a bad choice, and him and Strachan working together, with WGS as DoF?

it would be astonishing if one of them took the call to discuss going to a third tier club, with crowds in the low teens and minus 10 points!

how is he...?

because...???

He was a complete disaster at Bayern last season, completely clueless. They were 5th or 6th when he left, which is awful for Bayern, considering they have the choice of all the best players from every other team in Germany.

So on that premise, any manager who has a bad record with one club is a poor manager?

That's the only club he's ever managed though, and he made a right pigs ear of it. It's like Alan Shearer, people only get excited about people like Klinsmann because he's a big name. If he hadn't been a big international star who played in this country, I guarantee nobody would be mentioning him, based on his managerial record.

Did well as a national manager with a bunch of very average players, so not really anything like 7 game Alan Shearer....

He really didn't do that well. They were poor in the lead up to the World Cup. They were hardly average players as well were they? They were at home in the World Cup and beat Costa Rica, Poland, Ecaudor and Sweden. When they came up against some good teams they drew with Argentina and lost to Italy. Popular because he is a big name, nothing more. Much rather have Pardew than him (And I'm far from Pardew's biggest fan)

Lost in the last minute of extra time v the eventual winners.

They had a very average team, bar Klose and Podolski

Not saying i want him either btw

Basic reminders of some information , club taking their time , discussing with "Football people " about new manager , ML has an indepth knowledge of the German game , ML likes to have a winners attitude around him , as I keep on hinting from the day Wotte was sacked ,

Horst Hrubesch ;)

OK This is a total gut feeling and it could be dementia inspired by a huge lack of sleep over the last fortnight (new baby in the family) but I now predict that it will transpire that Jurgen is a close friend of our new owner, which could lead to some interesting developments......

Shangos stupidity knows no limits it seems. What a tool. Stu if you're even half right I'll help you lynch some students

I am right that he was at St Marys last Saturday, I was dreaming about the him and Strach duo, it may be as simple as he was being paid in a consultancy role to find a new manager... or he may be on the shortlist.

What's you're problem with what I've said c*nt? I guarantee I know 10 times more than you'll ever know about football. You think you're a well respected member of this board who knows everything and people value your opinion, but you are really quite clueless, not to mention rather dull. I know someone who know's you in real life and they say you're a pathetic lonely loser, Reynolds.

Maybe he had a bad back too and was visiting the physio.

We'll probably spot Lord Lucan having his in-growing toenail treated next.

Horse Scheiße is more likely :)

ML in an interview said: "I regularly look out for the main results, but I admit that football is not my passion. With this acquisition, I will discover an environment that I do not know too much about."

I disagreed slightly with your translation of the French on another thread. My interpretation suggests he is more of an occasional fan/investor/hobbyist than the 'in-depth' knowledge you suggest.

Not saying it won't be a German, just that I doubt ML's the driver here.

Whatever, he's the one who's developed a grudge over me for no reason, insulting me every time I post something that he disagrees with.

Jurgen is involved with soccer solutions and "often acts within an advisory role" to business and is quoted below on his remit for soccer solutions

By working on various projects related to event management, market analysis, the development of marketing plans, plans for youth development, grassroots program development and implementation with prominent sponsors, business development plans for diverse companies seeking to capitalize on their position in the soccer market etc., Jürgen has picked up a business skill-set and approach that few soccer managers/coaches can claim to have developed.
