H-E-A, R-T-S,

If you cannae spell it then here's what it says,

Hearts, Hearts, glorious Hearts,

It's doon at Tynecastle they bide,

The boys in maroon are the talk of the toon,

And Auld Reekie supports them with pride.

Change a few pertinent words and really ****'em off next Saturday.

I'll start you off with....

S,A,I - N,T,S

If you cannot spell it then here's what it says

SAINTS, SAINTS glorious Saints,

It's down at St. Mary's we bide,

The boys in the stripes etc etc (need some help with this line),

And Southampton supports them with pride.

If you don't know the tune, you'll soon get it coz they are bound to sing it!

Probably on You Tube somewhere.

There are other verses to it ( banging on a bout Celtic and Rangers), but that is the main chorus.

I know all this because I moved to Edinburgh in 1986 and watched them regularly at home and Saints when they were in the north.

Really enjoy the slow version of OWTS - looks like it's a real Marmite song with some loving and others hating it but reckon it's a goodun when we get it together, reminds me of the masses in Cardiff at the FA Cup final when we sang Shall We Sing a Song for You to the Arsenal fans at the end of the match - spine tingler.

I love hearing OWTS slow too i'm just saying we could do with more songs to sing at games aside from the usual OWTS, When i was just a little boy, All southampton f.c but they all do sound brilliant when the whole of the northam join in and the itchen north. COYR !!!

the chorus of the 'Coast - Colours' song would be good.

We all need these colours,

We all bleed these colours,

When our hearts are on the line,

We cry tears of red n white.

When I need a friend,

I go down to end

And we sing these colours till the end..

Southampton *clap clap clap* Southampton..

I think they should play this just before the teams come out, it would be great as a player to come out to hear everyone belting this out from the stands COYR !!!

Good suggestion, not just saying it (honest!) but have thought for a while it would fit well for us with the SAI - NTS

SAINTS, SAINTS glorious Saints,

It's down at St. Mary's we bide,

The boys in the stripes, they will never hide,

And Southampton supports them with pride

To the tune of Michael Jackson's 'Heal the World' (If you don't know it listen tp the chorus on Youtube.)

Jason Euell

He's better in attack

Than Bradley or Marek or even Rasiak

Games are [pause] never boring

When Jason Euell is scoring

Score a wonder goal for you and for me

The only problem is that Euell is, IMO, crap. We therefore need to sign a striker with three sylables in his name.

There is also, "I love Nazi Gold" to the tune of 'I love rock and roll'. Trouble is I can't think of any other lines which aren't racist and the whole thing is pretty much offensive to our new owners. :|

Was there for 2.5 years meself, was in Gorgie Road newsagent when told princess Di had been killed.Even went to work with maroon hair the day after Hearts beat Rangers in the cup.Went away with them too Motherwell, and had some good times on pish with the Hearts lads!

Let's forget about the Pompey songs - they are irrelevant now, in a different league (for a season or two) and to be honest it makes us look desperate for attention...

Secondly, stop the 'Stand up if you love the Saints' bollix...to be honest when I'm watching my team that I have supported since the age of 5 I don't need to feel there's an 'I'm a better fan than you are because I stand up when told' routine...and no I didn't stand up during it even though I was surrounded in the Northam by those that did.

I'm red and white through and through and don't need to do that to prove it.

End of rant. Sorry.

A few chorus' of 'Come on Saints..you can beat this s**t would be nice. The 'Leibherr' chant was nice to hear.

By Jove, I've got it - sorted the 5th line -

S,A,I - N,T,S

If you cannot spell it then here's what it says -

SAINTS, SAINTS glorious Saints,

It's down at St. Mary's we bide,

So screw all the rest, coz the Saints are the best

And Southampton supports them with pride

Yeah had some great times too - Bayern Munich 1-0 (Ian Baird rocket),

John Robertson, John Colquhoun, Big Davie McPherson, Sandy Clark, Henry Smith, Wallace Mercer (Wallet Merger) etc etc.

Always a good pint in the Diggers after home matches.

I moved there in 1986 just in time to see them lose the championship on the last day of the season - that team never really got over it. Will be great to see them playing Saints but this is one we need to win!

To the tune of Little Drummer Boy

Come they told me, parumpapumpum

A wealthy owner to see parumpapumpum

Our new support we bring parumpapumpum

Premier League, can it be?

Years from now, perhaps we'll see

See the day of glory, see the day of glory

And when things are going badly and we don't look lke scoring:

To the tune of "Feed the world"

Feed the forward

Thread it through , he'll score for you

Feed the forward

And I think it's gonna be a short short time

Till Pom-pey come down again to find

We're not the team we used to be

Oh no no no we're super rich

Super rich and we're soaring up the league.

To the tune of Rocket Man. Perhaps it could do with some work... or I could just get my coat now...
