Christ on a bike I'd forgotten just how bad the pre match build up on Saints Player is

Makes the old saints TV look absolutely steller

Lol Pardew getting booed and Parkinson being named manager of the month ... surely the motm curse will kick in today [-o

Come on you Saints (what colours are we in today?)

I've finally become a fully paid up member so expect plenty of drunken dribbling and hopefully happy clappy posts later :p

Blimey - you finally paid up!

I assume it was you that made sure EK 381 landed 20 mins early this morning - thanks!

what a boring, defensive line up. it seems a respectable 0-1 loss is Pardews aim ! *yawn*

Saints almost score after 3 mins, through Mills.

Commentators saying Saints are stifling Charlton's free flowing football.

Saints have the first corner of the match.

Maybe Pardew knows more about football tactics than you?

Hi Phil ... cider

WTF happened there thought we were one up.... :(

Nearly cracked open a London Pride, but decided against it considering the ****ney opposition so sticking with the old faithful Old Speckled Hen.

11 days of Singha

4 days of Tsing Tao with a couple of Guinness thrown in, then found a mirco brewery in HK which did Aldrich Bay Pale Ale at 12 dirhams a pint..

Not to mention the multiple Bar Beer shorts in Thailand...

How the fook can someone buy 16 pairs of shoes and 6 bags on one vacation?.....

All I bought were the T Shirts for the rugby 7's this year!

maybe not, judging by what he has shown so far !

I must say you are very,VERY brave being ****y when it comes to Saints chances of proving a negative prediction wrong :o

thanks for the update, allthough I do also listen.

Got fed up not being able to reply to stupid comments when my 3 posts were used up and posting the next day wasn't the same :smt112

Can't take credit for your early arrival although I was working a bit later.

A nice slow version of OWTS in the background. .... the commentary is driving me nuts already :(

Come on let`s have some decent updates.....please...

Saints have been the better side, MS casual with a shot from 18 yards.

Saints letting them back in and corner to Charlton, Thomas gets it away

Thomas seemed to be getting forward and we are pressing space. Lovely move by Charlton who then put the ball out the ground for the 2nd time.

Meanwhile half the cider is finished

Trouble is, having been away from commentary a couple of weeks I hear the names from the commentators and it takes a few seconds to work out he's talking about a Saints move !

James seems to be more a DM picking off balls to the Charlton forwards

Meanwhile Hammond takes ball and player FK 22 yards out

A bit difficult with litttle happening and the quality of commentating. They spend most of their time chatting about what has already happened raather than what is actually happening :(

Charlton had their first moment of flowing football but ended up with shot going out of the ground :D

Ref gives a dodgy free kick to them 22 yds out :(

So far we have survived 3 corners :p

Free kick comes to nowt but Bomo are 2 up

I fully expect Saints to lose today (although I predicted a draw and obviously hope they win). However, IMO it is rather refreshing that we have a manager willing to send out a team with the opposition in mind, as opposed to last year when the Dutch clowns didn't even bother scouting the opposition beforehand.

I suppose you would have preferred us to send out 5 fwds against a team who has won 6 out of 6 this season? And, seeing as you think Pardew 'maybe doesn't' know more about football than you, please tell us your managerial background. I am sure it must be better than managing in the premier league and winning two promotions in the football league if you know more than him.

Oh, and the commentary wasn't just for you; there are a number of people who come on here to find out what is happening in the match, and not just to whinge and moan about Saints, Pardew, etc.

Yes I predicted a more defensive team like we have now then throw on forwards after fifty five mins and see what happens.

Although a draw would e a good result

God I WISH they wouldn't keep doing that...

I'm reading the streaming thread and suddenly "it's headed down and it's a goal"...

To the fookin Skates....

Phew

Cider time does this mean things are looking Rosy?

Same happened to me just now came back into the room after getting another beer from the fridge only to hear a loud cheer (obviously the home team had scored) and '"it's in'' etc fearing the worst but luckily it was Bomo going 2 up

A bit of a scramble in the Charlton box but we can't get a clean shot awaay.

I predicted a win before I saw the line-up. and despite the team selection I still think we can do it.

having said that,I reserve my right to complain about anything related to the match. this IS the right thread, and you are just very confused,right..?

..and an advice for future interaction on the web: if you quote someone, they normally think you are addressing them. thanks.

I hate solent commentary!!!!

They spend about 5 mins talking about all sorts of garbage and NOT what is happening on the pitch, then bigger off to other matches.

Why am I paying for this carp!?

it's not ''that'' bad once you get used to it.

doesn't compare with the old Jimmy case / Will cope though. You always knew what was going on with them.

Absolutely! ;)

But it is exactly how it is.

We haven't won a game yet this year and are away to a team who has won 6 in 6. Any neutral would say a dead cert home win.

Having followed Saints for so many years I know we are capable of getting something, but still don't expect us to winh, so predicted the draw.

As a Saints fan I hope we win.

Simples!
