:smt039 Which part of Briz?

Also train is much easier.

Haven't decided yet.

Train is about the same journey time and price for one person alone, but I guess you can drink more. Point taken.

Edit: Ron - apparently it's £26 return on a Saturday. None-stop from Temple Meads to Central.

Yeah it's a good service, very rarely delayed, but sometimes full after Salisbury depending on whether its 2 or 3 coaches.

10.20ish from Bristol Temple Meads is the usual service. Gets in at about midday.

Our small group doesn't tend to go to many home games any more, not many games at all, now I think about it. However, I'm sure you'll see bungle getting on at Bath.

I usually get the train - Bristol to Southampton - the 9:23am one, if my flight is a little late i get the 10:23am one. Will be on one of them this saturday for the leeds game - usually fly dublin to bristol (hell of a lot cheaper that dublin southampton)

Ah, bmibaby v flybe. Similarly it's always cheaper for me to get a train to Cardiff from Southampton and fly bmibaby to Malaga than it is to fly from Southampton to Malaga even if I get the flybe flights the second they're released.

Dublin to Bournemouth (ryanair) is generally much cheaper, and closer to southampton. €10 each way last time I did it, which was a week ago.

I'm now based in Street, Somerset (having emigrated from Yorkshire and starting life in Lymington) - go to about 1/2 the home games and 1/4-1/3 of away games and drive myself and my son. Happy to offer the spare seats in my car to anyone in return for a pie and a pint (maybe a kit-kat and coke for the lad ;-) Can't promise it'll be every week but happy to give my email address to anyone who wants to PM me

Unfortunately, they have f**ked around with flight times and days with Bournemouth - I used to be able to do day trips flying back on an 8pm flight from there - now they don't even fly on a satruday at anytime......

Bristol / Gatwick with ryanair are the only realistic alternatives to flybe - as handy as it is to fly to Southampton, i'd rather save over £100. My flights for the Leeds game to Bristol return cost €20 (inc credit card fee's) and the train, again return booked in advance, £11 - the cheapest I have ever got flybe return to southampton was €108 - currently its €140, so for the sake of a 1hr 40 min train journey, I have an extra £100 to play around with.... (basically I can get to St Marys 3 times for the price of one return flybe flight)
