I cant see where anyone has moaned about the Leeds defeat - strange that you and Alpine can see posts that nobody else can?

I think he's referring to the fact that this thread shows some people are not even happy with a run of 11 wins, 4 draws (2 of which count as wins by virtue of them being settled by penalty shoot outs) and 2 defeats. At least it would appear so from the fact that some here are arguing about pointless things like whether we count the cup draws as wins or not instead of simply celebrating the best run of form in recent history.

Perhaps, if someone invents a time machine, some of us can travel back a year to find something to really complain about?

This run of form is rare and precious and few clubs get to enjoy it - especially us. It would be a shame to let it pass us by while we're caught up arguing stuff which is absolutely f**king pointless in comparison. Enjoy it.

LOL!

This thread just gets funnier and funnier. It's good because someone says we won against Torquay and somone else said it was a draw. This was weeks ago, but it's still really, really funny and worth basing a whole thread on that alone every single week. What's also really funny is that someone said "I don't like the list, I can see the results myself" and other people went "Let's keep making a list, because it's really, really funny".

Brilliant stuff!

why?

Because, until Feb 20th, we have 11 games to play. A number of them against some pretty decent sides in this division.

Now I don't think for a minute that we should go into any league game looking for any less than a win. On an individual basis it's how we should approach every league match, home or away.

That said, I feel it's entirely unreasonable to suggest that it is unacceptable for us to lose any of the next 11 games. Are you saying that if we won 10 of those games and lost against Colchester, we should deem that form as unacceptable?

Besides, it's a quirk of football that you sometimes don't get the results you deserve, and through the course of the season we (and the other teams around the top) will have to endure a "shock" defeat. It what happens, and you have to look at overall form rather than focussing on one-off games.

I'd suggest that, if we're looking to achieve promotion, we probably can't afford to lose more than 1 or 2 of the next 11 games. I just don't agree with the sentiment that to lose just one of them is unacceptable.

Fair enough - maybe I should re-phrase it to read "id expect us to get somewhere between 25-30 points from the next 11 games"? That allows for one or two defeats and/or a draw or two.

I agree that a 'shock' result may happen ala Brighton but lets hope not.

With such a display of journalistic talent, you should easily get a job with the Pink.
