Noodles34 Posted 4 January, 2010 Share Posted 4 January, 2010 seen on the MK Dons website that they are now selling tickets for the 1st leg, we are still waiting, anyone know anything like when they are on sale and how many are we getting?? stevegrant Posted 4 January, 2010 Share Posted 4 January, 2010 My suspicion - and I have absolutely no evidence to back this up - is that they're delaying it for as long as possible so there's not enough time for a lot of people who would have travelled to get their tickets, therefore we end up with a smaller travelling support. JRM Posted 4 January, 2010 Share Posted 4 January, 2010 I think there is definitely something strange going on, Milwall have tickets on sale for home fans along time before they went on sale for us, and now MK Dons is the same, don't usually have conspiracy theories but would be nice if David Luker can explain why ticket details + sales are being released so close to away games when the home tickets are on sales a few weeks before. Was having a debate with someone else recently who was making the same point as you and I don't get it. Why does tickets being sold a week or so later than expected make a ny difference to whether anyone goes or not. Anyone who wants a ticket for this game will get one and it takes 5 minutes on the phone to order one. Still weird that they seem to be delayed. SNOWY Posted 4 January, 2010 Share Posted 4 January, 2010 I wonder if MK are assesing the likely demand from their home fans before issuing our allocation?
Winchester_Saint Posted 4 January, 2010 Share Posted 4 January, 2010 I wonder if MK are assesing the likely demand from their home fans before issuing our allocation? Yeah I think you're right, therefore waiting as long as they possibly can before telling us how many tickets we can have. Didn't they only get around 10k for their FA Cup match at home to Burnley? Surely they will get more for this one, although it is on TV which always makes a large amount stay at home. I'm sure our allocation will be snapped up quickly when they eventually go on sale. Noodles34 Posted 4 January, 2010 Author Share Posted 4 January, 2010 I wonder if MK are assesing the likely demand from their home fans before issuing our allocation? would have thought that there was a set allocation, i.e. up to 25% if we wanted that many, so they would have to offer the set allocation first before selling those seats to theirs. It might be that we do not take up the full whack then they could sell those seats to theirs.
stevegrant Posted 4 January, 2010 Share Posted 4 January, 2010 who's delaying, us or them?? and why would they/we do that? MK Dons would be the ones causing the delay. We've no reason to do so. I agree that it shouldn't make any difference, but as it's an evening game and an early kickoff, I suspect a lot of people would have needed to take time off work in order to make the trip, and even though we may ultimately get more than enough tickets to satisfy the demand anyway, I expect many people wouldn't be overly happy to book time off work for a game that they (in theory) might not be able to get a ticket for. As a result, now there's only two weeks before the game, many now won't be able to get that time off at such short notice, so won't be able to go. sandwichsaint Posted 4 January, 2010 Share Posted 4 January, 2010 This is a real low-down, dirty stroke from MK! They had their home tickets out before and over Xmas, what was was the problem with them sending 2k down to us at that time? Serve them right if it all backfires on them: I'm half considering not going in a 'cut-off-your-nose-to-spite-your-face' sort of way. F'eck 'em, it's on telly anyway. Hope they get 10,500k tops ... saints_is_the_south Posted 4 January, 2010 Share Posted 4 January, 2010 Not sure what the allocation rules are for the JPT but if there anything like other cup competitions then we should be entitled to 15% of stadium capacity, their ground currently holds 22k so we should be entitled to 3,300 tickets. Bit out of order of them to be holding the tickets for away fans this long, its only 2 weeks on Wednesday till the game & I like a lot of others will probably need to book time off work for it. Hope we treat them the same way, offer 2,000 of the Northam & keep block 43 for Saints fans.
Saint_clark Posted 4 January, 2010 Share Posted 4 January, 2010 What a bunch of c*nts. I wasn't gonna go anyway, but i'm considering it now. 1000 of our fans would outsing 15,000 of their fake fans anyway.

The9 Posted 5 January, 2010 Share Posted 5 January, 2010 (edited) I haven't used online booking for a while but is it easy to link my season ticket with my dads when i book online to get seats next to each other???? Also can you choose stadium pick up instead of being sent out by post? Its easy to link people, you go to "my account" and "add friends" or something like that, type their ST number and surname in, then it will appear on the dropdown next to the ticket purchase when you go to the page with the "BUY" button on it. If you reserve the tickets in the system before adding the friend you'll have to cancel the transaction and start again once you've added them - it may also cache them not being on the list, so probably best to log right out and back in again. Also, if you log in at midnight you inevitably get crap seats in row A (though we tend to make it unreserved seating anyway!). And yes, you can choose stadium pickup. About the only thing I can't do is book my own ST seat for cup games online, which isn't relevant to away games, but if anyone knows how to do that... EDIT : It's "My Account" > "Add/Show friends" for adding other people; and to answer my own question the ST seats are under Show Cup Games/ Renewals on that same screen (but they weren't for the Luton match)... I should work in IT. Oh wait, I do. Edited 5 January, 2010 by The9

You say that but I've done it this way as soon as they have come on sale, for every away match I've been to this season, 9 in total. On each occasion I have been in the uppermost 3 rows! Bourno Posted 5 January, 2010 Share Posted 5 January, 2010 Very strange that we are split into 2 stands and such a restrictive sale - one per person. Given they never fill their ground they should welcome as many of us as possible.

Given they never fill their ground they should welcome as many of us as possible. The whole thing is a joke in my opinion, I shouldn't really get wound up by it but I do, I just do not understand why tickets for the home end can be on sale for a couple of weeks, then they try and rush through such a restricted sale for the away end, with only 2 days for general sale!! anyone wanting to book time off might not bother on the off chance they dont get a ticket, and doesnt allow time for them to be sent out. should have been on sale to season ticket holders 2 weeks ago, then on general sale for the last 2 weeks, with none of this "initial allocation" they never fill their ground so just say what the max we can have is and see if we can fill it. Although to be fair would be nice to know what our own ticket office has been doing and whether anyone had bothered to chase to get this sorted earlier. FA including MK in the World Cup is also a farce, basing al ot of England's bid appeal on the history and heritage of the game, and then including a ground in a town with no football history. I really hoped AFC Wimbledon would draw Dons away in the FA Cup, take 5000 and cause so much damage they'd leave the place looking like Plough Lane

adethorne Posted 5 January, 2010 Share Posted 5 January, 2010 Myself and my son have membership status, but for ALL the JPT rounds we have taken another 4 people with us, giving added revenue for the club and additional voice etc etc. Now of course for both legs against MK we can only purchase one ticket each. If there are tickets left for general sale then the other 4 people can purchase theirs then, but no guarantee there will be any left and of course they will not be seated with us. What happened to keeping ticket stubs!! Or the fact that i brought 6 tickets (logged on the system) for all the other rounds. Before anybody slags me off, being in the military i'm away alot and thats why i don't have a season ticket, plus its a 200 mile round trip just to watch home games, so i think some loyalty from the club isn't to much to ask for. It doesnt say you actually need to have a purchase history, just one per customer (they dont even really need to exist) then you pay for the lot and have them sent to you.
