Not going to bother when the view from the away end is like this...

brighton52.jpg

None of the 844 Saints fans will have a clue what is happening!

:D

i might have to think twice about that pitch invasion when we score, looks like half a mile.

went there in the league cup 2001 don't remember the view being that bad

Hmmm - what chance for a ST holder with two away games under their belt this season??

Worth a try.

It's midweek and you need to write a letter which will put loads off. I've already wrote my letter can't wait for this one need some revenge after they beat us and released a DVD.

Dammit ! :D

I won't be writing one anyway, been there, done that, best place to watch a match is behind the home end when stood on the road, other than the police constantly trying to move you on. It's a better view than the away stand anyway.

PS It's not exactly midweek, it's the night before Good Friday, so the start of a Bank Holiday weekend. And any civil servants will probably have the afternoon off for Maundy Thursday as well. I know I used to :)

That's a good point....

*writes letter....

Um, anyone got a template of the letter writing? Is it a case of "Dear Father Christmas, I'd like to be considered for two tickets against my ST ticket numbers xxx and xxx for the Brighton away game, love and kisses, Tractor Saint" ?

And post to the SFC Ticket office? Any specific addressee / address?

That would probably get you one, considering how few people usually write.

OK - have written a letter and will post this PM but not a great article on the OS - no details on who to make the cheque payable to (assuming it's "Southampton FC") and no address for postal applications given in the article (a bit of a basic miss but assume it's just 'Ticket Office' at the St Mary's address!)

That usually works but it won't in this case.

You need to make a cheque out for £300.

I will PM you details of the payee and address you need to send it to.

Done are letters and hopefully going to Brighton early to vist the tea cosy. This place is a must visit for tea and cakes. http://www.theteacosy.co.uk

This place sounds like my worst nightmare.

"To avoid embarrassment we ask you to take note of the tearoom etiquette.

The un-savoury habit of dunking biscuits’ is strictly prohibited and will result in you being ask to leave the tea rooms.

There is a correct way to hold your cup and saucer. Pick up your cup and saucer together-holding the saucer in one hand and the cup in the other. The best way to hold a tea cup is to slip your index finger through the handle, up to almost the first knuckle, then balance and secure the cup by placing your thumb on the top of the handle and allowing the bottom of the handle to rest on your middle finger. Hold the cup lightly, by the handle- your pinkie doesn’t have to be extended. Hold the saucer under your cup while you sip your tea (least you should spill or dribble).

When stirring your tea, kindly refrain from clinking the sides of your cup. Gently swish the liquid back and forth being careful not to touch the sides of your cup if possible. Never leave your spoon in the cup and be sure not to sip your tea from the spoon either. After stirring, place your spoon quietly on the saucer, behind the cup, on the right hand side under the handle. Please ensure you introduce a little milk or cold water to your cup before pouring your tea to prevent cracking of the china.

We have kindly provided sugar tongs on each table for your use. For hygiene reasons please do not touch the sugar cubes in the bowl."

Is this place for real?

How good would it be if we all met up there before the game and had a sing song and a nice cup of tea!

It would be fun but Gay Boy who runs it's would not even let you in. Football shirts "WE DONT DO FOOTBALL SHIRTS". Also get your mobile phone out and he has a turn. Get right nasty. We should all meet up in there.

When I asked about the Exeter tickets, I was told it was impossible for the club to let you know if you'd been successful or not.

Therefore, it is probably best to just keep your eye on your online account, or wait for the postman to arrive with tickets.
