Markus not at the game as he was not happy

If it's true, then it must be down to something that has happened behind the scenes that none of us are aware of.

I cannot see him being unhappy at our ''Performance'' this season, because if he is it kind of deems his opening statement pointless. ''we need to take time, it will be a slow progression'' - or something along those lines.

He looked very happy when he was at Wembley, and took time out to speak to Pards for a little bit up in the royal box.

Although at the end of the day it could be as simple as him not being able to fly because of the ash...

ML does not make statements, we havent heard from him all season.

So now we are supposed to believe he has come out and said he is not happy !

As he lives in Switzerland and wasnt at the game yesterday who has he told ?

Have Solent got a reporter outside his front door ?

If he didnt show up becuae he was not please - then that sucks.

face and deal with problems....dont sulk at home

Well thats exactly the point isnt it ?

If there was a problem then surely he would be more likely to be there to address it.

there are football rumours most days, this doesn't have much substance to it, don't think they should start responding to gossip, next time if they don't deny something then people will read into it

I agree with the ash cloud reason. It was an end of season friendly... May be he has important wor commitments at home next week and does not want to risk being stuck over here..

Pointless gossip and **** stirring.. Why can't some of you so called fans just be happy with what we have and stop looking for the next problem.

news of unrest is spreading fast.

- mentioned on the football league show last night

- mentioned on solent

- mentioned in the echo

- mentioned on SSN

if he was away fro legit reasons why not just say so?

Lazy journalism most likely

Solent most probably got it from the Echo, who tend to print complete **** anyway. The beeb got it from Solent and Sky got it from the beeb.

to be fair, the solent said they had just spoken with someone at the club....before mentioning all this..?

maybe, just maybe there could be some truth

Maybe I'm taking a very simplistic view here, but why would Liebherr and Cortese allow Pards to sign another player (Calderon according to numerous reports) if they were about to sack him?

maybe,

or maybe these media outlets are creating stories in an attempt to maximise their viewing/listening figures, whilst not letting anything like 'facts' or 'in depth research' get in the way.

Besides who on earth at St Mary's would openly tell Radio Solent there was friction involving Liebherr? We're talking about a local radio station here. "Someone at the club" could mean anyone from Markus Liebherr to a random bloke walking his dog who just so happened to be walking outside St Mary's.

If media outlets always reported the truth, most of them would go bust.

Thats the trouble with Solent....if they get a text from someone or hear a bit of gossip they more often than not read the bloody thing out !

You could probably text them to say that aliens have taken over West Quay and Chris Temple would read it out !

So, in other words, a quick footnote on the OS match report saying that Markus was stranded in Geneva (or wherever) would have saved a whole lot of speculation?

I quite agree

It is one thing not to comment on EVERY bit of speculation

BUT, excluding the Fans completely is going too far the other way IMHO:D

I remember the echo reporter saying not so long ago that most stories these days have an element of truth behind them and most are just not made up to get viewers...more so with league 1 clubs...

so much goes on that we will never know about...with it being reported on the solent during the match day coverage worried me...not only was it reported they said they had just had a conversation with someone at the club..

why on earth would merrington and adam make that up just before kick off..?

don't rumour and speculate then!

I dont....... but it won't stop unless the club issues a statement.

Mark Hughes coming, Paul Tisdale coming, AP to be sacked on Wednesday, programme gate, 606, Claridge having his say, the football league show and so on........

The Solent is wrong because he was sitting in his usual seat and I could see him clearly beamlng when the players did their lap of honour.

Of course he could have a double.

Perhaps you guys should know by now not to be falling for mischief-making by that skate TV company. Surprised at you, DD.

Stop right there, see my point? lol

It's very unlikely Sky, Solent and the Echo would have researched these rumours independently and come up with the same result. Media outlets (including Sky and the beeb) routinely create stories that are mere reworking of stories they've read in other media outlets, it's called cheap, lazy and easy journalism.

Merrington and Adam wouldn't have "made it up", they were probably reading it straight from the Echo! who I reckon practically made the story up to sell a few papers!

Besides the relationship between the Echo and the club hasn't been that great recently has it. . .

I got work experience for a local BBC radio station in the early 90s, real eye-opener.

For example in the wide world it amuses me that these "competition phone rigging" stories have come out in the last few years. It was going on 20 years ago lol.

Anyway with the season ending and the local paper no longer able to print match reports, I imagine they'd print anything to make a story. .

Let's all start a rumour... he must be upset and he must be leaving.

It has NOTHING to do with the fact all flights from Switzerland were suspended because of the ash cloud.

Dont let any facts get in the way of good rumour! haha

Just more rumour and spec

Have you & Alpine ever been seen in the same room together?

Negativity rules...Glastroll Saint who I hope did run on yesterday (because that's big & grown up) so he gets banned & can see even less matches to comment negatively on.

Kn*b!
