Bailey Posted 29 June, 2010 Share Posted 29 June, 2010 As the title says really. Lloyd James is on a two-week trial with Colchester. Expect to see a number of the players released by Saints sign for clubs in the coming weeks, if not sooner. Be interesting to see where they all end up! Colbury Posted 29 June, 2010 Share Posted 29 June, 2010 Hope he does well. Decent CM player who wasn't helped by some of the helmets we have for supporters who gave him so much stick for not being great when played out of position. Maybe they'll take note when he pops up and bangs in a winner vs us next season. Good luck Lloyd.

Lets B Avenue Posted 29 June, 2010 Share Posted 29 June, 2010 SSN say that Prutton is to leave Colchester. You would have to feel for a club that had both those two.
Chris Larkin Posted 29 June, 2010 Share Posted 29 June, 2010 SSN say that Prutton is to leave Colchester. You would have to feel for a club that had both those two. A Swindon Town supporting mate of mine has heard that Prutton could be going to them, but I don't know how ITK he is.

fish fingers Posted 29 June, 2010 Share Posted 29 June, 2010 All of our released players will be joining Mark Wotte in Egypt. The lure of champions league football will be too much for the likes of Lloyd james and Simon Gillett

Mewsta Posted 29 June, 2010 Share Posted 29 June, 2010 poor whenever he played CM. thought he did ok at right back and will be nothing more than a journeyman for the rest of his career Don't think he had a fair crack of the whip in his natural position of CM really..... Arizona Posted 29 June, 2010 Share Posted 29 June, 2010 Don't think he had a fair crack of the whip in his natural position of CM really..... He played there at Leeds and was absolutely dreadful. Didn't he also play in the middle that game where he came on as a sub and got taken off after 20 minutes? Good luck to him, but he is an extremely average League 1 standard player and we wont go up with players like him in the team.

dannysfc Posted 29 June, 2010 Share Posted 29 June, 2010 I actually quite liked Lloyd James as I thought he did quite well when he played for Saints IMHO soo Good Luck to him if he signs for Colchester aswell! Also why did we get rid of Jon Ostemobor aswell as I thought he was a quite decent player for us aswell IMHO but offloading these two might mean that we might be signing another right back or something but we will see ! I don't disagree with either, but a lad thats played at right back for a year, then dropped then brought back in at right back, then thrown in the centre of the park for one game then left out of the squad, then thrown in the centre of the park again........ I think I'd have wondered what the hell was going on to be fair and can understand why he wasn't at the top of his game!!
Saint_clark Posted 30 June, 2010 Share Posted 30 June, 2010 He also played at CM against Birmingham in the Carling Cup and was outstanding. He also played at RM for the first game of the season and was beating people for fun. He was never given a fair chance as a midfielder. Poortvliet and Wotte ruined him. He's scarcely better than L1/CCC standard anyway but thats OK. AP obviously doesn't see that "extra something " in his play. Good Luck Lloyd! martel Posted 30 June, 2010 Share Posted 30 June, 2010 I though prutton had gone to brighton? I read that too, in fact Poyet seems to be fairly active in the transfer market, however, he needed to be I guess, I just hope A.P. can achieve his targets during the summer break.
