The Kraken Posted 4 September, 2010 Share Posted 4 September, 2010 Poor old Dean Wilkins looks totally lost as the gaffer, and epitomises why we looked so rudderless today. For God's sake Clotese, please get a new man in asap. Beeb highlights certainly don't show the whole picture, but even still we look like a decent team and with a bit of authority in charge of a team feeling low at the moment we surely can make up the ground and make a go of this season. The more i look the more we just look like a team in turmoil however. And so we should. NOTHING seems to be working atm, Lambert is off form, our manager was sacked for some reason and even on BBC they are saying something must have happened behind the scenes. And our owner has died. Pretty crazy stuff really.
RonManager Posted 4 September, 2010 Share Posted 4 September, 2010 I have absolutely no doubt that we will be promoted this season. This is just a bonkers bit of chaotic madness that we are swimming through. Keep the faith COYS ps just for the record, the Ronmobile clocked up 100,000 miles today on the way home.It was cool when all the numbers changed from 99999! Appy Posted 4 September, 2010 Share Posted 4 September, 2010 Looking at the way Bournemouth have played so far this season and how they attacked Huddersfield. Howe looks an exciting appointment if it does happen.
MarkSFC Posted 4 September, 2010 Share Posted 4 September, 2010 Looked better than Solent made it sound!! Numerous chances yet again but no goals. Looking at the table, assuming we win the game in hand we are only a max 6 behind top spot or just 2 off 6th. Sure it seems bad right now but with a great appointment and a loan or three and I would would put any money on us being top come January and the next window!!! doddisalegend Posted 4 September, 2010 Share Posted 4 September, 2010 I should have just stayed home and watched the highlights they made us look far far better than we were. How come Claridge wasn't their tonight? maybe he's having a late night interview with NC everyone else who has ever picked up a football has alreadyhad one it seems. doddisalegend Posted 4 September, 2010 Share Posted 4 September, 2010 Played ok stuff but no fight. Good move to set up puncheon but another pathetic miss. Worst though was Davis. How the **** did their first go in? Was like a back pass. So often soft low shots beat him. Really wish we'd stick with Bart and let him develop. The first one went becuase Jose didn't listen to Martin. Martin had the first guy covered and was pointing/shouting at Fonte to pick up the goal scorer instead Fonte comes in to challenge the first guy leaving Martian to try and get back to cut out the scorer but he had to much ground to make up. Nah, first one was a complete comedy howler by Davis. You're right that there was a defensive mix up but Davis has to take the blame for that one, it was a powder puff shot that went straight through him. Give him a shot in the FA Cup, and if he performs well, why not keep him in the 1st X1 for the league? Few good saves from Davis aswell though. The highlights made it seem alright to be fair, seemed like we were just caught on the break and hit by a stunner, whilst having NO luck in front of goal. How did Puncheon miss?!?!?!? Kingsbridge Saint Posted 4 September, 2010 Share Posted 4 September, 2010 I thought we looked good tbf Stay off the drugs son. We were absolutely terrible. Poor first touches everywhere, dreadful passing, lack of movement, no idea what to do with the ball, woeful shooting, falling over the ball, falling over ourselves, getting in each others way, gash goalkeeping, unfit, running the ball out of play when under no pressure, schoolboy defending, arguing with each other. Relegation beckons unless things improve.

In fairness the highlights didn't tell you about those bits, any nuetral watching those would have come away thinking we were unlucky not to win of course anyone who had the joy of sitting through it a st Mary's knows otherwise. aintforever Posted 4 September, 2010 Share Posted 4 September, 2010 Today was a shining example of what happens when a lunatic chairman sacks a manager after a 4-0 win. Any team spirit they had has just been completely shot through.
bridge too far Posted 5 September, 2010 Share Posted 5 September, 2010 We'd lost that game before the first ball was struck IMO. Did you see the players' faces and body language when they came out of the tunnel? I've never seen a team less up for it

I've never seen a team less up for it I actually noticed that last night, and I had drunk enough to kill a small horse by then. There is either some truth in the rumour and there is a split in the camp, or the rumours are nonsense and they are all ****ed off about the Pardew sacking. We dominated from the off and but for poor finishing would have won handsomely. Feel quite sire for Wilkins. It's not his fault of someone blazes over from 5 yards. Did you see the players' faces and body language when they came out of the tunnel? I've never seen a team less up for it I was watching the shooting practice v Bart at the Chapel end pre-match. About 70% of the shots ended up in row Z, poor Bart barely touched a ball and as you said, everyone looked a bit grim, not a smile amongst them. Even then I thought 'we are going to lose' :-(

Absolutely spot on. Martin has the runner covered and Fonte doesn't do his job... Seems strange, he was a rock when he came in.
