Appy Posted 27 September, 2010 Share Posted 27 September, 2010 The saints player commentary from last years Norwich away game also refers to him as Darren Barnard.

Trader Posted 27 September, 2010 Author Share Posted 27 September, 2010 A couple of seasons after Leicester moved to the Walkers, the South Today evening team linked us up to Filbert Street to see how some local team was 'getting on'. These people get paid for this. And as we all know, ITV are even worse - and get paid more.
Upton72 Posted 27 September, 2010 Share Posted 27 September, 2010 Yes, wonderful to have a new player, young Darren! Sloppy journalism as it so often is. No wonder regional programmes are under threat in the next round of cost-cutting
Alejam Posted 27 September, 2010 Share Posted 27 September, 2010 The commentator on Saints Player keeps calling him Bernard in the highlights against Sheff Wed. Why the hell can't these idiots get such basics as his name correct:x
Jesus Reigned Posted 27 September, 2010 Share Posted 27 September, 2010 Well I did hear Adkins refer to Lallana as 'Alan' in his post-match interview on Saturday, so maybe everyone's at it. Although I hope this was just a case of him getting his Ls mixed up. And still nowhere near as funny as Pardew referring to BWP as Chris Bart-Williams in an interview on Solent just after he signed...

Eastcowzer Posted 28 September, 2010 Share Posted 28 September, 2010 fill me in someone??? I know what you mean, Badger, though others seem to find it diffiicult. I though that the illustrious BWP was already here before Pardew popped out of the woodwork. - and when did we sign this Chris Bart-Williams. Is 'Tony Husband a Skate-lover. ! explorer saint Posted 28 September, 2010 Share Posted 28 September, 2010 Unbelievable I heard that too for a regional programme based in Southampton, someone should have a word!
Jesus Reigned Posted 28 September, 2010 Share Posted 28 September, 2010 fill me in someone??? Just after Pardew signed I listened to an interview he did with Solent; he was talking about the players out of contract and clearly meant to refer to BWP, but instead said Bart-Williams. He was just getting his double-barrelled surnames mixed up!

iansums Posted 28 September, 2010 Share Posted 28 September, 2010 Right, so none of you lot make mistakes FFS. I actually think Tony Husband is a very good reporter, don't think he'll be on South today much longer, bigger and better things. The other night Roger Johnson after a story on flying turned to the weather girl Alexis and said 'you know a lot about wings', made me smile anyway. Pilsmer Posted 28 September, 2010 Share Posted 28 September, 2010 Not Saints, but this excerpt of an interview with Shola Ameobi whilst he was at Newcastle never fails to make me laugh. Journalist: "So Shola, do you have a nickname at the club?" Ameobi: "Not really no." "What do the lads call you?" "Shola." "What does Bobby Robson call you?" "Carl Cort." iansums Posted 28 September, 2010 Share Posted 28 September, 2010 Is it just me or does anyone else sense the 'sexual tension' when Husband & Johnson are on with Ramen (sp) the weather girl. They clearly want to sh** her.
