Andy_Porter Posted 27 October, 2010 Share Posted 27 October, 2010 Seems like Chamberlain might be playing a little bit too much football at the moment.
Matthew Le God Posted 27 October, 2010 Author Share Posted 27 October, 2010 Seems like Chamberlain might be playing a little bit too much football at the moment. He has only been coming on in short cameo's recently for the first team. I'd say they are handling his development well.
Andy_Porter Posted 27 October, 2010 Share Posted 27 October, 2010 I hope you're right and he doesn't burn out towards the end of next season. We are going to need him all season with the first team, so I'm not sure he should be playing for the u21/reserves let alone this youth side. Matthew Le God Posted 27 October, 2010 Author Share Posted 27 October, 2010 He'll only play for the under 18's in the FA Youth Cup. It is a prestigious competition to win and makes sense to use Chamberlain in it. Its not like he will start against Notts County, he'll be a sub and probably come on for Puncheon in the second half. Matthew Le God Posted 27 October, 2010 Author Share Posted 27 October, 2010 Chamberlain just been subbed for Holder-Spooner.
Andy_Porter Posted 27 October, 2010 Share Posted 27 October, 2010 I'd rather not risk one of our better players in a youth competition. I'd rather see him starting than Puncheon after his performance at the weekend, an injury to him could really set us back at the moment.
Andy_Porter Posted 27 October, 2010 Share Posted 27 October, 2010 Chamberlain just been subbed for Holder-Spooner. Good!! How is Lloyd Foot getting on? read an arctile a while ago saying he was a bit special but haven't heard anything since.

Mowgli Posted 27 October, 2010 Share Posted 27 October, 2010 I'd rather not risk one of our better players in a youth competition. I'd rather see him starting than Puncheon after his performance at the weekend, an injury to him could really set us back at the moment. If you read the interview in the Echo you will see that Oxo still finds it a little bit daunting in the first team and his occassional appearance in the youth / development teams help him relax and express himself. It's all about confidence. Not sure of his role tonight but also it gives him a chance in the middle of the park since the first team he's pushed out to the wing for his pace. That's fine but he does not see as much of the ball as he would like.

supersonic Posted 27 October, 2010 Share Posted 27 October, 2010 Is he Scott Sinclair's brother? The one that the academy staff are getting very excited about? Yes, he's only 15. Another very talented youngster is James Ward-Prowse, who is also 15 and played 84minutes tonight. I think he's a defender and midfielder
