Master Bates Posted 2 May, 2011 Share Posted 2 May, 2011 I think it sounds nice. Night night, amazing day. GLORY GLORY MARKUS LIEBHERR, GLORY GLORY MARKUS LIEBHERR, GLORY GLORY MARKUS LIEBHERR, AS THE SAINTS GO MARCHING UP UP UP.

Fan The Flames Posted 2 May, 2011 Share Posted 2 May, 2011 I like St Marys so Liebherr alone. We could get the road changed to Liebherr Lane.

doddisalegend Posted 2 May, 2011 Share Posted 2 May, 2011 Yeah the name St Mary's has to stay for me. Maybe another statue? I think Markus and Ted stood next to each other would be good.
Secret Site Agent Posted 2 May, 2011 Share Posted 2 May, 2011 Surely a statue at the very least ? I suggested this at his funeral thread and was shot down by so many, (you know who you are). So yes, I agree a Statue would be a good thing. Without Marcus, we would either have no team, or some tin pot owners. We could have been in the same boat as Pumpey. So lets at least identify the man who made this all a possibility for us until he went to the big boardroom in the sky.
krissyboy31 Posted 2 May, 2011 Share Posted 2 May, 2011 If we are relocated in the future, then why not?
Saint_clark Posted 2 May, 2011 Share Posted 2 May, 2011 I don't think a statue would be appropriate. Renaming the stadium however is perfect. "The Markus Liebherr St Marys stadium".
Matthew Le God Posted 2 May, 2011 Share Posted 2 May, 2011 I think naming the new training ground pavilion building after Markus would be the best idea, after all he is paid the millions of pounds that it is costing.

The Kraken Posted 3 May, 2011 Share Posted 3 May, 2011 I think every single Saints fan should change their name by Deed Poll to Markus Liebherr.

The iconic picture of Markus and his camera should be the model in my humble opinion. Jeez! The man was in his 60's and a succesful businessman but he looked so innocent and in awe of the ocassion, that image will remain etched in my mind forever! What a time to be a Saints fan and, for my son, what a way to celebrate his first season s a ST holder!
