Rodriguez more likely to get call up?

Lambert has 14 goals this season

JRod has 8

Sturridge has 7

Carroll has 5

Welbeck has 2

Guess which 3 of those will be in the next England team. Goals apparently not the main issue.

And SRL has scored the same number of goals as the three of them put together.

And what's more, that makes it all the more illogical.

I see Grant Holt had another rant at the England setup - and he's bloody spot on, too. Glad someone will say something; He's obviously written off any chance he ever had but I just hope his words don't fall on deaf ears.

They probably will though, such is the ridiculous, antiquated setup of the England squad.

Do Lambert or Rodrigues play in red? Yes

Is it Liverpool red? No

Will Owly see them? No

Do we need them playing international football? Overall no.

I am semi happy with it. They are better than most of the england team, but then again most players are but I am happy with them being dedicated to us really.

He's getting better and better with every game at the moment. Though his touch and decision making can let him down at times and he's not international standard just yet, IMO.

Carry on improving at the rate he is and it'll happen sooner rather than later though.

I'm not a fan of Welbeck but apparently his game is about more than just goals scored. Makes sense I suppose, but there is a large degree of he's a United player so guaranteed an England call up ahead of others of his type.

Just like Lambert's then.

I feel it's a double edged sword....on one hand, it's a great sign that our players are performing so well, but the flip side is that if they're not playing for England, fewer games, less chance of injury and in the shop window less so less chance of them gettin bought by bigger clubs....I honestly believe we're on the verge of something big starting to happen...these are better days ;)
