L1Minus10 Posted 3 January, 2009 Share Posted 3 January, 2009 Ok... Reading have shafted us and recalled Pearce, Chelsea have shafted us and recalled Cork.... why the **** are we not recalling Wotton to cover the centre back crisis we suddenly have ? Probably because some stubborn pig-headed arsewipe of a chairman or some out of his depth no mark clueless arse of a manager haven't thought of it or won't do it because he spoke out of turn. Great that the new set up, is putting ego aside and "uniting" the club.
washsaint Posted 3 January, 2009 Share Posted 3 January, 2009 Perhaps, beacuse of what happened....... someone posted yesterday that Wotton had a go at McGoldrick in the tunnel before a game in front of both sides. And that he was not a good influence in the dressing room. Still.....don't let anything get in the way of your witch hunt eh guys??

Maybe he was a good but disruptive influence, a decent PROFESSIONAL footballer with a sense of team spirit, in that he can see everything is shiite and was trying to do something about it himself. In which case he would be a f**king hero in my book, and the problem lies with the rest - borne out, of course, by on-field events..
Give it to Ron Posted 3 January, 2009 Share Posted 3 January, 2009 Sorry has Wotton to Brighton officially been announced as I cannot find anything on either OS? Not that I would epext to find it on ours.

Call me a bluff old traditionalist but the manager should take control and ensure these players can play together shouldn't he? Or should we just give up and let people do nothing for their pay packet?
Whitey Grandad Posted 3 January, 2009 Share Posted 3 January, 2009 If he had a go at McGoldrick then in my view his should be the first name on the teamsheet.
St. Jason Posted 3 January, 2009 Share Posted 3 January, 2009 You might want to look into that one. He was guilty of bullying young Plymouth players in his time there. Thought it was a strange choice of experienced influence at the time. So, maybe he hasn't been a good influence, but for me, the key point is he's been an absolute liability on the pitch whenever he's played. So in other words another great Lowe/Poortaloo/Woote signing then??? Funny who Wotte made this signing and said we were signing a "strong character, a leader of and on the pitch, a responsible man" yet when he showed a bit of leadership (rumour) and tried to motivate the team in the tunnle and inject some passion he's wrong!!!! http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/?page_id=10234

As I elsewhere, this doesn't sound like a forward looking strategy at all, more like making it up as we go along. I had bought into the Pearson vision, but no matter how hard I try I just can't get behind the "Revolutionary Coaching Set Up".

I get no enjoyment from going anymore, people keep saying this is the best football we've played for years, where?? Surely Wolves away, Shef utd home, Derby away, Brum away etc were all better games that what we've seen this year?? It's one thing saying its nice to see a team full of players that want to play for us but completely another thing to expect ant results. look back at Bret Ormeroid and James Beattie for example, Bret would give blood and run himself into the ground but if you wanted a goal, an end result it be Beattie you'd have your money on! Whoever signed him on more money than Plymouth were paying him should be fired, whether it was Wotte, JP or Lowe. Wotton is the slowest, most glacial player I've ever seen. dobbo Posted 3 January, 2009 Share Posted 3 January, 2009 From what I've heard Wotton had a go in the dressing room at a few after the Burnley game and gave some home truths. Apparently even though we were 3-0 down at half time the management team said nothing. He was then shipped out to train with Brighton. Still wants to stay and he has recently moved his kids into a Southampton school.

I was at the Reading game to (have 2 season tickets) and I also enjoyed the game, but for some to say "this is the best football I've seen for years" is, imo, wrong! Yes we played well, but 1 game does not make a season! I have no faith in the board and even less faith in JP. Defeat after defeat yet no tactical change. Couldn't garuntee Pearce a starting line up yet allows Cork to leave, I realise he had no power in holding Cork, but you would of thought some would of checked with Chelsea and Cork to make sure he/they wanted him to stay! we let all our " high earnering strikers" leave and sign, Gasmi, Schneriden, wotton, pekhart, Forecast, Robertson, pulis where we could of done without all of these, saved the wages, signing on fee's and kept John/Saga! I've had enough mate, really questioning my support!!!

Chez Posted 3 January, 2009 Share Posted 3 January, 2009 Can someone summerise why Wotton has to leave? Thanks. he can't control a football, pass a football, run quickly, shoot or even head all that well. I think that explains things. Oh and no one likes him.
