I suspect a number maybe racists but some might just be annoyed at stoppage when only short-time to half time and can have a drink. They are a "safe" move that avoids long-standing debates and potential backlashes over the diversity (or lack thereof) of the historical figures selected for the notes. I think a pony would be particularly fitting. 1
