That's a truly horrendous away day really, I can't see getting tickets for Pompey away being a problem if we're doing the same.

Looks like travel price has been reduced.

Surely they will all need to arrive in one go so coaches will be a convoy, Fratton to Lakeside then on to Winchester then all travel together from there? Could make it a two hour journey from Fratton then , if I was them I'd get the train to Winchester to limit time stuck on a bus

After the game is going to be a problem as no doubt a lot will go rogue and not get onto the coaches

They didn't cause any issues last time did they?

Though I've often wondered how the old bill would handle it if a group managed to break out of the so called sterile area. Try and force them back in or accept it and do a hasty escort to the station?

Latter obviously not an option for the first game.

Yep. Looks like it may well have sold out - finally!

The club will love the exchange for this game, give a credit for 1/23rd of the season ticket price then sell your seat for a Cat A* ticket price, nice extra margin there

They will be held in and escorted 200 yards to their coaches.

I doubt that lot could walk 200 yards their knuckles will be down to the bear bones after that long walk

Wonderful, no trains on the Brighton line.

I could get to Fratton and then get on the replacement bus service, but that doesn't appeal, so driving it is..

Just seen their coaches are leaving Fratton at 8.30am, with an aim to arrive at St Mary’s by 9.30am! Honestly, talk about ruining these two games 😂

Certainly by 10ish. What time is the ground opening? Will the bars be open?! They'd better bring a good book to read.

Fratton Park (PO4 8TB) – 8.30am
Lakeside North Harbour (PO6 3EN) – 8.55am
South Winchester Park & Ride (access via M3, junction 11): 9.55am

Those are the departure times. I reckon they'll take a longer route which is why they're leaving earlier - i.e. through Bitterne rather than across the Itchen Bridge

I suspect so, as there are works on the Itchen bridge at the moment.

If Saints win well I might go back to my normal football watching pub on a wind up mission. They give me enough good natured grief as it is, so they couldn't object to a big cheery grin from me. Here's hoping, anyway..

Doing their best to make sure the crowd is as sober as possible

Don't let them beat you Sue!

Annoyingly going to have to miss the game as away as like a twat booked holiday before fixtures. But cannot transfer ticket to mates in normal way and have to email ticket office details. Cos all Saints ST holders have Portsmouth mates that they are going to give their tickets to.

Don't ever get a replacement bus, they are always late by 45 mins, too many queuing up for 1 bus. Also if coach drivers are used for other events or  matches like club away games rail networks won't have a coach. Trains are utter crap let alone a replacement service.

Just called the ticket office to check in. Ticket office advised they are sending tickets as a late as possible, I assume to make it harder to sell them on. Tickets will start to be posted this week so should arrive early next week.

Ticket exchange has finally opened properly today for the Pompey game for those that haven’t got one yet.

Thanks for this. I overpaid horrendously, but managed to get some for my old man. He’s buzzing. Up the saints.

I think my mate and I might've both bought tickets from the exchange, just waiting to confirm with him. Am I right in thinking you can't return them to the exchange but I could sell (at face value) on here and transfer to somebody legitimately on the app?

Normally yes, but for this game they've made it complicated, think you need to email the club with details of who you want to transfer them to, either that or just meet your mates at St Mary’s and let them use your phone to scan in through the turnstile

Wonder if the club twigged when they had an unexpected enquiry for a hospitality box from a bookshop in Petersfield

I've got a spare on its own in the chapel. Block 18 Row X.  Face value if anybody wants it £40.

Just have to arrange the transfer with the club so you'll need an account which meets the criteria (purchase history)

Morning Barry! Quick check in to see if you still want to shift this ticket? I'm looking for one in the Chapel...have the purchase history etc. of course.

Frustrating that you can’t exchange tickets when a member. After having an op cancelled twice, it’s happening in about half hour. Means Sunday will be too soon for me. Not sure how the transfer works but if there is anybody looking to buy a ticket with the right criteria.. Itchen 8.

You have to email them to transfer and the deadline is today. Frustratingly it says on the website that if anything isn't 100% correct they just wont do it rather than query, which means you have no way of knowing whether they've just not got to you yet, or you got something wrong and they aren't going to do it.

Can’t send you a DM as you can’t receive them. Happy to sell it to you but the transfer info needs to be in before midnight this evening or it’s a no go.

From what I’ve read on the email today it seems there may be random checks on ID to make sure tickets haven’t been sold on.

I get the loyalty and rewarding the regular away attendance thing and of course I understand that argument. First come first served, of ballot would open up away games on a fairer basis I would think. Resigned myself to never having a decent away day again…cup or play off final aside.

Just as an update tickets currently available for any season ticket holder/:members for:

Liverpool

Sheffield United

Derby (members tomorrow, allocation increased to 3100).

It seems away tickets are actually quite easy to get at the moment

What? You mean it's not a closed shop like many people said it was?

There's a shocker.

Suspect we'll start hearing it again when November comes around with the 3 london games.

I’m a bit amazed anyone is really surprised that there’s still availability tickets for some our next 4 aways. All up north, 2 midweek and all fairly big allocations, fans doing them all will clock up 1,200 miles on the road over a couple of weeks.

Some fans just prefer closer fixtures that inevitably sell out fast but mostly miss out. No rocket science.

Bristol City tickets out tomorrow, 3400. Midweek game but suspect it'll go pretty quickly.

And then Blackburn away on the Saturday afterwards. Anyone who wants a ticket will get one.

After that it's the 3 London games all in a row. QPR is midweek so people may be lucky, but the Millwall and Charlton games on a Saturday will be snapped up rapidly.

Charlton don't tend to sell out The Valley so if anyone did want to go in the home end that might be an option.

We can have up to 7,000 for Blackburn…why couldn’t they be down south 🥴

Think QPR will also go very quickly as even though it's midweek it's the third smallest allocation in the league.

I'm going for home end Charlton. Won't qualify for away. Far from ideal but I'm from there so always want to go if I can. My Dad took me home end a few times at Millwall in the 80s to see us there, so I'm good at being quiet.

Tickets can be bought now.

Very different nowadays trying to get tickets, I used to get in to the away end to see us at Charlton without any season ticket etc. Having said that I was in with their fans when we had David Howells between the sticks for some of a 5-0 smashing. What a nightmare start to the season that was.
