washsaint Posted Saturday at 19:17 Posted Saturday at 19:17 Probably our best player (certainly most threatening) this season and since the transfer window he's been jettisoned by Still. We are utter shite, somehow have employed another clueless manager and are devoid of any attacking threat. I feel for the kid and sums up the ineptitude at the club. 3
Saint_clark Posted Saturday at 19:25 Posted Saturday at 19:25 It's interesting if it's true that he hasn't been used since the transfer window closed. Were we trying to generate some pure profit under the finance rules?
pimpin4rizeal Posted Sunday at 14:49 Posted Sunday at 14:49 Quite bizarre really Robinson was our most exciting player in the first few games yet now isn’t getting a look in.. he was actually beating people cutting in getting shots off but still seems to prefer Fraser and fellows just crossing balls into strikers that are not suited to it . I don’t think fellows looks very good at all so far isn’t particularly fast or skillfull and looks lightweight
Challenger Posted Sunday at 16:18 Posted Sunday at 16:18 No point being a promising player at this club. You will be overlooked for some charlitan or flogged off at the first opportunity. 2
washsaint Posted Sunday at 16:23 Author Posted Sunday at 16:23 Agree with all the above. It's actually quite scandalous how he's been discarded by our utterly inept manager. To a lesser extent Sesay too....involved all pre-season and then never to be seen again. 1

He's been playing off next to nothing. I was expecting the left side to be Scienza - Robinson - Fraser in that order, but seems it's currently Fraser - Scienza - Robinson. Still fully expect Scienza to be number one, but would have Robinson as the impact sub over Fraser. 1
macca155 Posted Tuesday at 11:58 Posted Tuesday at 11:58 The treatment of Robinson and Sesay is my greatest worry. With viable pathway to the first team Saints won't continue to attract or keep these players. Letting SAA go wasn't too clever either.

Sessay just looks like one of those normal academy kids who gets some games in pre-season, everyone assumes he's going to be part of it, but the likelihood is that he's never really quite good enough at this point - so he floats back to his level for now. That's how I see the Sesay situation. I've seen it before with Jamie White, Hesketh, Simms, Josh Dutton-Black if we go way back. 3

pimpin4rizeal Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Makes you wonder if there’s been a fallout or something ..Robinson for me has been clearly our most threatening wideman actually looks to beat players and make things happen rather then just knocking in crosses .. or maybe that’s what still wants ?

I agree with that, although Josh Dutton-Black was shocking as youngster. He never looked like becoming a professional footballer. Sesay will have a career in the game, but I'm not sure why people are surprised he's not featuring. Robinson on the other hand. It's very harsh on the lad to be excluded, but we've signed 2 new wingers and he's down the pecking order so he'll have to bide his time.
RedArmy Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I think he gives the ball away too cheaply and too often for Still to consider him a starter until we stop conceding poor goals, particularly on the counter attack. If we can shore up the back line then I would expect to see him get more minutes than he has been since recently.
gio1saints Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Did nothing when he came on v Liverpool. Looked nothing like as good as we wished. Wonder why that is. Is the pressure also too much for him like it is for DD? He’d be forgiven at his age surely.
suewhistle Posted 36 minutes ago Posted 36 minutes ago I'm not sure he received many passes, particularly in dangerous areas. He was taking up wide positions but not receiving the ball, or at least that is my recall - which admittedly is pretty poor these days!
