Nordic Saint Posted October 25 Posted October 25 I couldn't find the old thread with records Saints hold, but I believe 4 wins in 50 games is a new Football League record to add to the list, breaking the previous record of 5 in 50 held by Derby. PS Admin, if you want to add this to the old thread, feel free.

Nordic Saint Posted Wednesday at 14:43 Author Posted Wednesday at 14:43 (edited) Some good news! One home league win in 12 months is not a record. Oh, how we cheered at the end of that Wrexham game, with good cause. Edited Wednesday at 14:44 by Nordic Saint

I've been using AI and search engines, which are not always reliable, but no team is actually worse, although a few have gone 12 months with only 1 home league win, so we haven't broken the record. Derby went eleven and a half months without a home league win, but won one before the 12 months were up. Macclesfield and Stockport also had long winless runs at home, which didn't quite reach 12 months, so they also share the record. If we hadn't scored those late goals against Wrexham, we'd be record breakers at the beginning of November. Edited Wednesday at 15:07 by Nordic Saint
West Dean FC Legend Posted Wednesday at 19:37 Posted Wednesday at 19:37 Funny thing is when people talk about awful record we hold, not many mention the 0-9 home defeat to Leciester City. This is the record home defeat in the top division (regardless of what the division was called) in the HISTORY OF THE ENGLISH FOOTBALL LEAGUE! It broke the record Newcastle United 1 Sunderland 9 in 1908, United getting absolutely shafted at home by their bitter rivals BUT there was one consolation. They won the bloody First Division (top league at the time) Championship that season.
Turkish Posted Wednesday at 19:44 Posted Wednesday at 19:44 Remember arsenal were called the invincibles? Maybe we need a nickname like that. The Incapables, perhaps? 3

Dr Who? Posted Wednesday at 20:44 Posted Wednesday at 20:44 Fastest Premier League goal Fastest Premier League hat-trick We hold so many records, it is a little strange
Dr Who? Posted Wednesday at 20:47 Posted Wednesday at 20:47 (edited) The youngest top-flight hat-trick scorer in England is Alan Shearer, who achieved this feat for Southampton against Arsenal on April 9, 1988, at the age of 17 years and 240 days. I was at this game, 4-2 I think. I know I am out of order looking for positives on this site. Sorry. Edited Wednesday at 20:48 by Dr Who?
Dr Who? Posted Wednesday at 20:50 Posted Wednesday at 20:50 3 brothers playing together in a top flight game. Danny, Rodney and Ray. I think Sheffield Wednesdays away was the first time? 1988/89.
aintforever Posted Wednesday at 20:51 Posted Wednesday at 20:51 We hold the record for most Premier League managers.
