Sadly, it's put a massive dent in our semi final chances but hey ho, that's more about the day out. It’s a loss that he isn’t available but don’t forget he didn’t play v Arsenal. We’ve still got good options in Charles, Jander and possibly Bragg* who all now have a great opportunity to step up.** * don’t tell SaintRoyally **and unfortunately put themselves in a shop window. 2

Patrick Bateman Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago With Flynn Downes on the pitch in the last two matches, neither of those long range shots (from Man City or Ipswich tonight) happen, in my opinion. Flynn has been excellent at closing down those sort of spaces. Thoughts? 5

'Right place, right time' is often because he reads danger well, and I think he does. Jander and Charles are more 'all action' in the sense that they do leave their positions from time to time, Charles in particular should not be seen as a 'Downes' replacement or even a DM for me. I think Charles is someone you let free a little bit, play him a bit higher up where his on the ball ability (which I think is better than his positioning) can come into the fore. 2

Bragg and Jander were the best pairing Against Ipswich, yes, but off in the second half because he would have got a yellow card For next year, he is fourth choice His upper is the Championship unfortunately as much as we like him 2
