I think this is a bit of an emotional stretch to be critical of.

This is just normal business/normal corporate life. Most big orgs and event orgs are taking bookings for next Christmas now.

This is totally separate from football and fan discontent. This is a corporate business trying to make money from corporate events. Completely separate element.

I hear you commercially but that in itself does not make it right "socially" if that's the right word.

For a moment I thought that we were going to be having a SaintWeb Christmas knees up - and knowing what a bunch or Herbert’s we are on here - @Yorkshire Saint in putting his hand up in organising it was starting the process that would very likely be like herding cats 🤪

…….put me down as a maybe please.

Are you suggesting that the club/stadium/venue shouldn't be trying to take party bookings, because weve lost a few games of late.
Life does still move on... or shall we close Level 1, The Dell Bar and the club shop until we start winning again? 🤦‍♂️

The more revenue the club makes the better. Plus, if you go and Saints are still doing shite, you can sneak off to the dressing room and leave a fresh turd in Ryan Manning's football boots.

It's not just the Christmas cheer you'd be enjoying with your fellow nupties. We'll be storming League 1 by then too! Well, we'll have the certainty of our second manager of 26/27 turning it around in 27.

When you say storming……

after a poor start to the league 1 season Saints fired German coach Helmet Schizerhoff who lasted only 3 months in his first ever management job and replaced him with Albert Jones in temporary charge who was promoted from the role of first team analyst. After winning his first three games in Jones was given the job permanently but since then the team have failed to win any of their last 10 matches and sit 9 points outside the play off places. However with some excellent possession and XG stats the club are confident that he will turn things around.

So this year's Xmas party will be much the same as last year's then?

Looks like this thread has had over 650 views , I think 'Yorkshire Saint' might actually be a club employee responsible for selling Christmas parties.

Raised awareness and got people talking about it.

Very clever, very clever indeed

Excellent possession and xG stats. A  bit of player trading, and it's a storming SR season.

Pretty much

Although they sacked the head chef and promoted one of the waiters. After assessing each of the waiters performance the data showed that one of them was an outstanding performer able to lay out the cutlery quicker with an expected table completing rate of 2.36 tables per 5 minutes. Although he’d never been a chef before he can learn that on the job with his transferable cutlery laying talents transitioning into preparing meals we’d have a world class Christmas lunch delivered in optimal time

Who on earth at the club signed this off.

1. It's two weeks in to January.

2. Read the room and the discontent with the fans

Small point but does make you wonder about who is running this shit show

Mate don't worry, if you wanted to ask people to join you for Christmas at St Marys you only had to ask. I'll come, but you're paying, I don't do this going dutch stuff.

I'm not gonna lie, when I initially saw the thread I thought that the club were trying to sell belated Xmas bookings but we're a couple of weeks late!
