I remember Colin Clarke scoring on his debut, and I think Will Smallbone did to.

I Was there for Shearers hatrick, with Mark Blake also scoring his first for Saints, although I don't think it was his debut.

Redmond scored on his debut (which was Puel's first game as well).

Same, had a ST in Block 42, remember thinking nah he won’t score from there and then boom.

Chatted about it on another thread - Clarke got a hat-trick on his debut in a 5-1 win at home against QPR on the opening day of the season.

My goodness you're quite correct, I'd forgotten it was a hatrick, I do remember it was against QPR though. Nearly 40 years ago.😧
