Daft Kerplunk Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I am not sure the club realise the damage they have done. Kids have been getting bullied at school this morning for supporting Saints, the reputation of the club is at an all time low, fans have been let down and have to take the punishment more than anyone. And yet, absolutely nothing from this football club as an apology to the fans. Forget the legal process, where is the statement of apology to the fans and to the game that begins to repair the damage this whole episode has done to a 141 year old football club that they are lucky to be well-paid to work for? The reputation of the football club is in dire straits and the sheer stupidity of people who work at football clubs is clear, because they believe they can do what they want and get away with it. Not just from a cheating perspective but with them behaving like they can do anything they want because they know fans will be crazy enough to keep turning up because we aren't standard customers. The longer they stay silent to the fans, the more they show that they hold us in low regard and just people to milk for their money. Damaged. 3

The fact there was no statement and apology from when this all started to now tells you all about who is running Saints. The damage will last as long as Saints continue as its such a huge mistake. So desperate for Premier League money will do anything to get it yet just needed to buy 2 more decent players and would of made play off anyway or even auto. Saints have wasted more Premier money the play off winners get in failed transfers. Could of just got a real scout in.
Paulwantsapint81 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I doubt the club care about losing new young kids as fans I have looking forward to preseason because I was planning to take my little boy (nearly 5) to watch his 1st game. Really struggling to sell it to myself let alone him 1
Colinjb Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) Yeah, it's been awful at my school this morning. That's as a teacher, never mind the kids Edited 1 hour ago by Colinjb 1

I’ve posted this lot over the last few years since they took over but it’s about learning from the past and evolving future behaviour. What got rid of Lowe ultimately? Technically, a bounced cheque with Leon Crouch’s help but a fans boycott did the trick over the whole season. Be a customer on your own terms - make it clear that SR need to go or you won’t be at SMS. Empty seats are the most likely way - this fanbase doesn’t protest unlike the Branfoot years. No-one will take a blind bit of notice of this post and will carry on regardless I’m sure, but it’s you that will get upset and hurt by a one-way relationship with a player trading firm. The only apology they could make which could stop me turning my back to the club and football as a whole for the next few years as I will be doing is a statement from Dragan saying they’ve cleared the club’s debts as a gesture of goodwill and will sell the club to the first appropriate buyer subject to due diligence as soon as possible. S-Clarke Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I can't imagine they will own up or apologise to us. What we'll get is some waffle statement about how we feel the punishment is unjustified, and how we will seek further legal advise. We advise all fans to continue checking the OS for updates etc etc etc. If the appeal fails, the best thing for this club to do would be to apologise and just draw a line in the sand. A big video piece on the OS with Dragan and everyone else, outlining how we shouldn't have done this, what is being put in place to stop it again, and how they will be reimbursing the fans for all this nonsense. Let our local journos get unlimited access to everyone and provide a big apology to the clubs involved too. That's the only way we can play it if we wanted to try and get people back on side, and 'try' to recover ourselves after this charade.
sockeye Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago No apology incoming - we will get some crap about trying our best and it being so unfair though

They just need to clear all debts as an apology and get the club sold. Nothing else.
Sunglasses Ron Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I'm absolutely fuming like most, but I guess they are waiting for the outcome of the appeal before making a statement to the fans. I expect that to come today. I genuinely feel sorry for kids at school, I'm a grown adult but definitely wasn't looking forward to the conversations from people at work today. 1

Yeah that's absolutely the longer term goal, but in the short-term they won't be able to sell us overnight - so just own it and then fuck off is my feeling.

I mean own up to the fans, hold their hands up to the fans, apologise etc. They've not publicly owned up to anything, apart from Parsons in the fricking boardroom at Boro. I still can't get over that bit. 1

Depends what they do - debt free at a reasonable price it would be attractive for someone to rehabilitate. But you are tight, they’ve had no intention of behaving properly since Semmens let them in so they won’t start now.

They are aware, they're putting all their eggs in the basket of the appeal being successful which in their minds results in them having to grovel less as the collateral (operational) damage would be less. Giving we have admitted guilt and we're only challenging the sanctions - it's incredibly poor, somewhat disgusting they haven't released any form of statement/apology. Lot's of heads will roll on this one... strap up this is going to be a very bumpy ride. Can't help but feel for Hull. 2

A Charlton fan, QPR fan, forest fan and a leeds fan have all messaged me saying its utter madness that we have been booted. A hull city client hasnt messaged though probably thinks if he takes the piss ill put his prices up. 2

Actually most of my friends are Arsenal fans. Ah now I see why I haven't had much piss taking.... 1
Hamwic Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago There will be no apology or comment until the appeal has concluded. 3
