All advice gratefully received

Don't wear brown shoes or trainers with a dark worsted suit.

Those fucking shoes with the double strap and buckle are hideous.

Rules - every man should own a decent pair of boots and brogues, never wear  gym or running trainers with jeans. Penny loafers done right can look good done baldy can look awful. Spend as much as you can afford on shoes and look after them it’s worth it for many many reasons

Say what?! I wear my New Balance trainers with jeans all the time. But then I have sciatica and a dodgy lower back. So go for comfort over style when I can.

Socks + sandals = timeless classic.

Crocs are vulgar how anyone wears them

When I was in Southampton General for my operation a lot of the surgeons were wearing them. I didn't like to criticise.
