St Marco Posted 17 February, 2009 Share Posted 17 February, 2009 Doncaster vs Bristol City Plymouth vs Palace Sheff Weds vs Barnsley Watford vs Swansea Some important games there which could really put us in the **** if results go against us. If Plymouth win they will go 10 points clear of us, if Barnsley win we will need 8 points to over take them, if Watford win we would need 6 points to over take them. And they would both still have a game in hand. Lets hope results go our way!

St Marco Posted 17 February, 2009 Author Share Posted 17 February, 2009 If Doncaster win they will be 12 points ahead of us and into that 40 points bracket. I think if that happens they will be safe. I think its the same with Plymouth too really, if they win will mean we would need 11 points to over take them. I think if results go against us it could mean the 3 spots to do down will be between Forest,Norwich,Barnsley,Watford,Us and Chalrton. If Watford and Barnsley win their 2 in hand will take them 10 points ahead of us. If that happens then it is game over for us. So of tonights results i think if Watford and Barnsley win then that will be a big blow to us.
ozzmeister Posted 17 February, 2009 Share Posted 17 February, 2009 So basically we want all home losses? One can hope I suppose. Bristol City should win, as should Swansea.

Bristol City should win, as should Swansea. no we want Barnsley to lose, they're away. I can see all these results going our way because anyone near the foot of the table is probably a crap side. If you're only getting a point a game there's probably a reason for it.

I can see all these results going our way because anyone near the foot of the table is probably a crap side. If you're only getting a point a game there's probably a reason for it. That's the twisted logic which gives me a semblence of hope, in that the other sides are arguably just as sht as us and we only have to slightly outperform them. Barnsley may have two games in hand but given their points per game ratio, they'd be lucky to get 2 points. This evening is absolutely massive for us. Fingers crossed we get some go our way. Derby at home to Blackpool tomorrow and Forest away at Ipswich. Norwich are the only team in the group above us who aren't playing midweek. sfc6mufc3 Posted 17 February, 2009 Share Posted 17 February, 2009 they have, and somebody asked at the weekend what they have that we don't, blimey where does the list end. ability to win home games manager stability manager/board who know the importance of survival good team balance - not all youth manager who knows the english game annoying when it seems so simple (maybe it isn't) and yet we are failing at most of the above. Mole Posted 17 February, 2009 Share Posted 17 February, 2009 It's totally irrelevent what the teams around us do because we aren't good enough to do our bit. I can see us finnishing the season 10 points adrift of safety and relegated with 3 games remaining.

Papa Shango Posted 17 February, 2009 Share Posted 17 February, 2009 Really not bothered to be honest. I've stopped caring about what everyone else is doing, because I know we won't do our bit even if others **** up. We won't win anymore than 4 games for the rest of the season anyway. We will be down at least two games before the final day, if not before.

Plymouth are in freefall, they're the only team below us in the current form table. Their only saving grace with regards us is that they have 7 points on us (and a good goal difference, although that could easily be eroded!!). I noticed there was something on the BBC site that said Sturrock is at Plymouth for the long run. After this spanking I think it will be a long run out of Home Park. They might just be the team that collapse along with Norwich that allow us to scrape out of the mire (straws, clutching et al).
