An Attempt at Unity

Here is an idea. Without all the over dramatic people ranting their agendas, how about it if people who are known for their particular views on the current set up or the other choices open to us, each say something positive about the regime they would like to see go. Without sarcasm or point scoring.

I will have a go first.

I think Lowe is the better choice out of the current choices available but I have to admire the loyalty and dedication to Saints that Crouch seems to have.

I think that as Mr Lowe is such an astute businessman that he will hold true to his mantra of 'doing what is best for the football club' by leaving forthwith.

I also feel that Mr Wilde will acknowledge and concede that he cannot possibly dedicate enough time to his position given his physical location for most of the year.

Therefore I am sure that both men will act in an honourable manner and fook right off.

For 1 reason or another none of the main shareholders want the club to fail. That has to be a positive doesnt it?

Depends how what you think of as failure.

Now I don't know any of the the three gentlemen invoved, but...

Mr. Lowe may have the financial nous to ensure the club avoids administration - I don't know, time will tell. He obviously has no understanding of football as a game or as a passion and he should keep his oar out at all times. He doesn't appear to consider playing in League 1 a failure.

Mr. Crouch seems to be a genuine fan and a good business man in his own area of expertise but hardly did a great job of running the club before.

Mr. Wilde? I can't think of anything positive to say!

I didnt say I think any of them are capable of making the club succeed. Just think that none of them want it to fail. Its a positive what ever way you look at it. How they all try and do it creates less and less things to be positive about IMO.

Lowe could be overseeing 2 relegations in his last 3 years as a chairman and you think he is the better option? ......

Sorry but i just don't think Lowe and Wilde have earnt any "say something positive about the regime" comments.

That maybe because i'm one of the "over dramatic people ranting their agendas".

I think all the Three Stooges have to go. This site is a fair representation of the shareholders - divided, bitter, more interested in point scoring than finding solutions, more interested in seeing the others fail than all succeed together, and happy to go to sh1t as long as their enemies go to.

Before anyone accuses me of being just the same as all the others (see above) I think all of the Three Stooges are equally to blame and equally incapable of taking us forward.

I only sound pro-Rupert because I can see no prospect of change for the better before the end of the season & a bit of short-term unity behind the team (not the board) just might give us a chance to still be in the CCC come June

i agree but with rupert picking the team/players i actually believe that it would make no dfference if we had a full house ever week , with loads of noise because the team selection and style of play is not suited to win consistently in the CCC it is imo TO LATE

It is probably (but not definitely) too late, but I would rather we went down bravely, trying to do our bit than sitting at home sniping from the sidelines. There will be a whole summer of that

I think that's true, too. The only positive I can draw is that Lord Luvaduck might keep us on the rails financially, even in League 1, and slowly, very slowly, we return to times like we enjoyed in the early years of His Lordship's reign.

But I'm not holding my breath and I'm not sure I'll live long enough... :(

i agree with the sentiment and for every home game, and i have only missed 2, i think the crowd have honoured their side of the agreement and been let down badly by the club and its policy.

after 47 years of support and watching the club grow for 42 of those years the last 5 has un done all the good work which came before, i have already decided that if we are down before the last home i will attend and spend the afternoon getting as near to the directors box as i can to vent my anger.

If i get arrested or thrown out so be it

If we're down before the last home game we should all do something to make the point, but if we still have a chance then we have to keep supporting

I think Lowe is being used by the other boardmembers as a scapegoat and he probably doesnt even realise it. Whereas Crouch would not be under their influence.

...is that in the spirit? :)

for people of my age bracket that does not need to be said because i believe you can be anti lowe and give the team 100% backing during a game , but equally i want to see players prepared to die for the shirt , a bit like Swansea game not roll over and have their clogs removed and tummys tickled
