Here's the form guide for the last eight matches -- Derby are flying and have scored more goals than anyone else.

He's done a pretty good job. Those protesters with their 'wotte a load of rubbish' banners look a bit daft now.

How do you work that out when Wotte has been part of the problem from the start of the season? As chief engineer of total youth policy I think he has ALOT to be held accountable for.

As coach he has been an improvement over JP. Why? Because whilst he was forcing, from Lowe, a club policy of youth on JP (that we all knew was destined for disaster and has probably done enough to kill the club and relegate it regardless) Wotte now plays men under a revised policy. If JP could have played men would we be in the relegation zone right now? I think not.

Wotte has to be held accountable for the whole season I'm afraid. If he keeps us up I may reassess his performance. But he has caused too much damage already to be kept at this club whatever happens this summer. He is Lowe's architect. He shares the blame.

AND there are - frankly - far better British managers out there unemployed.

Makes those with the anti-Wotte banners quite forward thinking and understanding the whole situation... IMHO.

Who? especially name those we could afford and want to come to us.

Odd post from someone who holds Lowe solely responsible for all the evil at the club due to his unshakeable belief in himself and refusal to be swayed. Now apparently the reserve team coach was secretly responsible for the entire club strategy from the time of his appointment last year. Do any facts at all inform your posts or do just make them up to fit your thoughts?

I'm not really interested in his role as 'engineer of youth policy,' and all this 'Lowe's architect' ********. I was referring to his performance as manager, which has been good if you look at the results. You're quite right, he has had better players available to him (well 2), but his decision to play a 4-4-2 with Euell up front has made a difference as well. We can only speculate as to how JP would have done with the same players, so it's a pointless argument really, the fact that we got 3 great results in a row suggests Wotte is doing something right as manager.

I'm bored of asking this question but what does their nationality have to do with anything?

with 9 games to go who would you prefer to play to record 3 wins?

QPR (h); Blackpool (a); Charlton (h)

Or

Preston (h); Cardiff (h); Ipswich (a)

Seems to me we have done the hard work and 9 straightforward points will leave us on 47 with 6 to play and a probable safety target of 52 points we could even afford a slip up with woeful Palace and mediocre Wednesday to play, plus 3 other good opportunities for points before a hopefully redundant 6 pointer on the last game.

You could argue we've not had an easy game since Barnsley as Norwich had the new manager effect and Donny were starting their roll. The last 9 games gone that look a lot harder retrospectively than our next 9 and its testament to Wotte and the team we are still in a good position to get out of trouble.

Teams we expect to beat are the ones we lose too. Forest, Doncaster for example.

And anyone else notice that Watford have been flying since Jack Cork got there (and a new manager...). And Wor Greg can't stop scoring now. That'll be a tough game.

To be fair, Watford have still been really hit and miss.

I watched one of Cork's first games for Watford away at Reading. He controlled the midfield for them, but they got battered 4-0. I'd expect them to be safe, but they're far from out of the woods yet.

Of course, Rasiak won't be able to play against us, so it'll probably be Will Hoskins alongside Tamas Priskin, who's in a decent run of form himself. Still a few weeks before that game, though.

I know what you mean Steve, but I'd have taken a 4-0 battering at Reading if we'd won six out of the last eight!

Ras won't play but I bet Cork has a stormer. Tough game -- whereas hopefully Sheff Wed will have nothing to play for and Palarse will still be slipping warnock-style towards the drop zone.

I don't agree with a lot of Mr Canteen's views, but i agree that we don't have too bad a run-in. The concern is that we've played shyte too many times against the poor teams. And that has to change. I think it might because with JPS in defence we let in far fewer goals.

Here's hoping.
