20 Forest 50 pts

21 Barneley 49 pts

22 Saints 48 pts

23 Norwich 47 pts

24 Charlton 36pts

And that's with 2 home wins, a loss at Sheff Weds and drawing with Forest (so a win there and we could be safe, but that would mean 3 wins out of 4!!!!!)

Put this season behind you and accept we are down - to rise from the ashes of despair like the phoenix of the south.

Honestly we have struggled all season, the players aren't up to it, and certainly the management and motivation has been a big feature in the lack of performance. A few players have stood out - and who could blame Kelvin looking for a move after virtually keeping our hopes up all season.

Anyone interested in the club will see the club for what it is - not a sleeping giant but a club with a possionate fan base, and the ability to compete at the top level, given the chance.

Next seaon will be just as hard as this - but at least withe the right backing and finances in place, and a decent manager we have a slim chance of coming stright back up like Leicester.

If nothing else we can visit new grounds, new pubs and new cultures - Hartlepool for example, a place where they hang monkies for being French spies!

Every cloud has a silb#ver lining - so stop diluding yourself - WE ARE GOING DOWN!

See you at Sheffield Wednesday next week?

I'm not giving up hope until the final whistle on the final day. We managed to win 3 in a row not so long ago so it's still possible. I did the BBC predictor and also had us staying up. If we do then I think it's Barnsley and Norwich to go. Whatever the outcome I'll be there.

Lowe sold/loaned out most of the proven Goalscorers

Who aren't scoring elsewhere either. Rasiak 5 goals from 18 league games,

Stern John 2 goals from 24.

Stop harping on about those 2,they are crap and no better than Saga,BWP or McG.All we've done is saved about a million quid by loaning them out.

They indeed are not world beaters, but both have shown that when given a settled and good run in a team that they will deliver.

It was only last season that John finished near the top of the scoring charts depsite being in a team that got progressively worse as the season wore on (up until a spurt at the end).

Both of them have had their seasons ruined through a disjointed pre season when they were out of favour and are only temporarily plugging holes in other teams.

Of course they're a year (or two) older, but they are not crap.

Skate-hate you need to appreciate that your views are distorted by the bias you show toward SFC. If you asked any mutual fan (ie no team with hatred views to SFC or any teams in or around the relegation fight) to do the same you would probably find that we would be down.

The truth is we have to rely on 2 teams messing up for us to stay alive. Even if Forest slip up and we beat them, if Norwich dont slip up, they will be safe and we will still go down.

That Wolves game had a very reminiscent feel of watching the Pompey game the season we went down from the Prem. I knew it was curtains after that...and i'm pretty certain it's curtains now...

Norwich 52

Barnsley 50

--------------

Fahhhrest 49

Saints 48

Charlton 38

Which is nice and sh:t...

Had the same feeling , did the predictor and we stay up if we win 3 out of 4 and one of the wins is against Forest.

Heart says yes but head says we are doomed

I just find it hilarious that, after probably the biggest pile of sh1t season we have ever witnessed.... some people are still very much ''believe we can do this'' ''we can stay up'' ''don't be negative''...we've won what...9 games all f#cking season? 6 away, 3 at home....

We can't even beat the worst team in the league at home infront of 28000 in a must win game! we get an absolute ar5e raping at wolves...and somehow...defying all logic and season long form.....some complete spastics STILL think we can win 3 out of our last 4 games and stay up.

We have won 21% of our games this season... that 2 out of 10 for the less bright on here....but bizzarely the complete tard starting this thread thinks we will magically change that 21% season long form into 75% over the coming weeks.

Good luck loser...

Anything can happen in football, yes all the figures and facts point to the fact we have no chance, so you best stay away.

in 76 we were 5 to 1 against in a 2 horse race,if you do not have a dream then , one thing is certain, you will never have a dream come true

With a keeper like Stepney you always had a chance, Buchan kept them in it, mind you Eric Turner kept us in it more.

B Rabbit is right though. We got played of the park by the worst team in the league on our own patch. How people think we are going to get 8 or 9 points needed to stay up is beyond me. Have people watched us recently?

yes watched the last 5 games , home and away, and if you remove hope and HAVE NO HOPE then why go and watch.

Even then it wouldn't be enough. Forest will probably beat Coventry and then they'll be on 48 points. We're on 41 so even if we beat Palace and Burnley we'd be on less than them. we needed to beat Charlton,we didn't and that was the end of it for us.

You're probably right, but we can still live in hope.

You never know, a good home win and Forest, Norwich & Barnsley losing tomorrow and it's all to play for again!!!!!

I agree the odds are stacked against us, two from probably three isn't good and our current form and inability to beat even the shhtiest team in the league isn't good, but football supporters are mentalists (or gluttons for punishment)!!!!!!!

I've always been an optimist but I truly believe that next season we'll be in League 1. But until it's mathematically certain I'll keep cheering the team on.

Christ! I've never watched Div 3 football before...ever.:-(
