um pahars Posted 12 April, 2009 Share Posted 12 April, 2009 20 Forest 50 pts 21 Barneley 49 pts 22 Saints 48 pts 23 Norwich 47 pts 24 Charlton 36pts And that's with 2 home wins, a loss at Sheff Weds and drawing with Forest (so a win there and we could be safe, but that would mean 3 wins out of 4!!!!!) yorkie Posted 12 April, 2009 Share Posted 12 April, 2009 Put this season behind you and accept we are down - to rise from the ashes of despair like the phoenix of the south. Honestly we have struggled all season, the players aren't up to it, and certainly the management and motivation has been a big feature in the lack of performance. A few players have stood out - and who could blame Kelvin looking for a move after virtually keeping our hopes up all season. Anyone interested in the club will see the club for what it is - not a sleeping giant but a club with a possionate fan base, and the ability to compete at the top level, given the chance. Next seaon will be just as hard as this - but at least withe the right backing and finances in place, and a decent manager we have a slim chance of coming stright back up like Leicester. If nothing else we can visit new grounds, new pubs and new cultures - Hartlepool for example, a place where they hang monkies for being French spies! Every cloud has a silb#ver lining - so stop diluding yourself - WE ARE GOING DOWN! See you at Sheffield Wednesday next week?

It isn't over we can do it!!! To stay up, we have to WIN matches To WIN matches, we have to score GOALS Lowe sold/loaned out most of the proven Goalscorers The League position does not lie, we are where our Form says we should be Of COURSE I do not want us to be relegated, but I'm pretty sure we will be, and from the body language of some of the players, so do they. And I've saved the best bit ....... Last match Notts Forest (Away) Thanks for everything you've done Lowe

Rasiak 5 goals from 18 league games, Stern John 2 goals from 24. They indeed are not world beaters, but both have shown that when given a settled and good run in a team that they will deliver. It was only last season that John finished near the top of the scoring charts depsite being in a team that got progressively worse as the season wore on (up until a spurt at the end). Both of them have had their seasons ruined through a disjointed pre season when they were out of favour and are only temporarily plugging holes in other teams. Of course they're a year (or two) older, but they are not crap.

Crouchie's Lawyer Posted 12 April, 2009 Share Posted 12 April, 2009 Skate-hate you need to appreciate that your views are distorted by the bias you show toward SFC. If you asked any mutual fan (ie no team with hatred views to SFC or any teams in or around the relegation fight) to do the same you would probably find that we would be down. The truth is we have to rely on 2 teams messing up for us to stay alive. Even if Forest slip up and we beat them, if Norwich dont slip up, they will be safe and we will still go down. We can't even beat the worst team in the league at home infront of 28000 in a must win game! we get an absolute ar5e raping at wolves...and somehow...defying all logic and season long form.....some complete spastics STILL think we can win 3 out of our last 4 games and stay up. We have won 21% of our games this season... that 2 out of 10 for the less bright on here....but bizzarely the complete tard starting this thread thinks we will magically change that 21% season long form into 75% over the coming weeks.
