Legod Third Coming Posted 18 April, 2009 Share Posted 18 April, 2009 how far away most L1 clubs are? Seriously... Oldham Huddersfield Wallsall Hartepool Crewe Carlisle... Bugger me. Time for one them M6 toll passes I reckon.
Griffo Posted 18 April, 2009 Share Posted 18 April, 2009 Looking forward to Carlisle. Sort of comradery about going to places like that, and Hartlepool. Walsall isn't too far. Brizzle Rovers (new stadium), Millwall, MK Dons, Southend, Colchester, Swindon, Leyton Orient, are all good away days in League One.
Katalinic Posted 18 April, 2009 Share Posted 18 April, 2009 Exeter, Brentford and Yeovil not too far either. Nor Charlton....I would like to see Plymouth drop too.
Saint_Jonny Posted 18 April, 2009 Share Posted 18 April, 2009 Im moving to Huddersfield in September so there's plenty of horrible northern places for me to visit.

Legod Third Coming Posted 18 April, 2009 Author Share Posted 18 April, 2009 Exeter, Brentford and Yeovil not too far either As long as you don't live in South West London (which does make Brentford a local game thankfully...)
saints_is_the_south Posted 18 April, 2009 Share Posted 18 April, 2009 New stadium for Bristol Rovers? Won't be next season i'm pretty sure of that considering they are building it on the existing Memorial Stadium site. Anyway, some of the closer games include: Charlton MK Dons (if they dont go up) Millwall (if they dont go up) Southend Bristol Rovers Leyton Orient Swindon (if they stay up) Yeovil (if they stay up) Brighton (if they stay up) Brentford (if/when they go up) Exeter (if they go up) Wycombe (if they go up) Gillingham (if they go up) Not all that bad i spose! badgerx16 Posted 18 April, 2009 Share Posted 18 April, 2009 Nearest matches for me are all over 50 miles . Oldham, Stockport, Crewe ( if they stop up ). Could do with Bury making the top three in League 2, and Rochdale winning the play-offs; mind you if Morecambe can sneak in they're only 16 miles away. Griffo Posted 18 April, 2009 Share Posted 18 April, 2009 I looked over Woolston..... and what did I see.. Anyway, don't use the beginning bit. No one will know the words to the whole song anyway. The chorus will do.

I listened to the Brentford Chairman on BBC today he said they could only accept 1200 away supporters may be a general problem at the smaller grounds

I used to work in Brentford and went to go two or three times a season at Griffin Park and used to think how poor the standard was in Div 1 after watching the Saints in the Premiership Now we are almost there

John Boy Saint Posted 18 April, 2009 Share Posted 18 April, 2009 I have intended away days to "Warsaw" and Brisbane Road pencilled into the back of my mind. Just pray Brisbane Road away is at the end of the season as both times we were promoted to the top flight in 1966 & 1978 we did it against the mighty O's with draws. "If yer ever in Sho-ling..." Anyway, since when has Walsall been far away!? Quite looking forward to new Northern towns to scout out, away days are great.
