hamster Posted 29 April, 2009 Share Posted 29 April, 2009 Nick I said quite clearly that they were in discussion with a big name, he also said that Perfect Alibi were currently headlining. Don't yet seee them on the bands list though. Does sound like fun to me hope they get some proper beers in as I will not go if the only choices are lager and John Smiths. They absolutely MUST get some of that Save Our Saints ale in.

ooohTerryHurlock Posted 30 April, 2009 Share Posted 30 April, 2009 How about David Gray? His agent had some link to saints - and I remember the echo ran an article about him doing something up at the Bevois Castle pub and there was a tenuous link to saints. The artful Dodger is obviousily a massive saints fan as well. .... Also any chance of getting Ricky and the Revs up to reform for the event - they were fantastic and had quite a local following twenty years ago.... I remember rushing back from away games to catch there set.... once seen never forgotton!

sotonjoe Posted 1 May, 2009 Share Posted 1 May, 2009 I can't see the point of putting togetther a lineup which consists solely of the sort of tat we can go and see at the talking heads / hobbit / brook / railway inn / joiners on any day of the week. You need something a little bit special in my opinion, otherwise we just look inconsequential. No 'Band of Skulls' (ex- Fleeing New York) either? Local bands offering their services for a local cause and willing to do so for FREE. Have a listened to their myspace pages? The Rebs have a massive following and are mentioned in NME at 'the next big band' They have played at V last year. Perfect Alibi are simply stunning. They are A Pink Floyd tribute act who equally match the talents and efforts as the Australian Pink Floyd band... PLEASE check out their site. We have an act reforming and gonna play at Saints Aid! Nineteen Canteen Posted 2 May, 2009 Share Posted 2 May, 2009 What time does the afternoon music start?
