I recommend you buy todays Echo

Interesting stuff, Nigel Pearson wanted to stay and would have taken a salary drop.

Poortvliet was only on £60,000 a year (seven times less than George Burley), less than some of the players.

Leon Crouch & Pearson had a 3 year plan and more.

So did Rupert Lowe, Sell everything and get these two ****ing nitwits to run the club.

Shame he never had the other two years as I'm sure he would of change the clubs name and renamed the stands to sponsors from random companies like Tampax, Durex and Viagra!

I would hate to know if he would of been the manager next?

You really can't make it up can you?

Trouble is it could make us feel even more ****ed off with the past season and go into the "what might have been" way of thinking. But at least it should silence any secret lowe lurvies out there once and for all, how he had the nerve to show his red faced rosey ****ing cheeks on sunday was beyond me, cant he realise that he is hated and blamed by 99.9% of saints supporters and just **** off and never return

TBH, the mud-slinging has all got very boring. I'm far more concerned with the future than with the past.

Ditto !

Also, whose side of the story is all of this ?

The blame lies with a whole variety of characters IMO and I'm fecked off with the whole lot of them. I just want of them all gone and the past is consigned to the sh1t piece of history it is, and we can start again with professional, capable and sensible people in charge at this club.

For those of you fed-up with the mug-slinging, why dont you avoid the thread.

Some of us are not fed up with it, and some of us want the full story of the last 5 or 6 years out in the open. Then every event can be put into its proper context.

I would love somebody to write a comprehensive book about the PLC years, or at least about the time since the FA Cup Final.

Dunc ?

For me its just the sheer disbelief that we have been saddled with such a string of incompetent buffoons - At board level and at managerial level ( Strachan and Pearson apart) over the past 5 to 6 years, that leads me to not want to remember any of them.

We must have run over a whole herd of black cats to have been so unlucky to attract such dregs and it gives me no pleasure to analyse any of them.

However for those that want to, help yourself !

The future could end up doing full circle. What if Lowe is connected in some way to a potential bid ? Would you not want to know the exact details of what happened ? This is why its important to know why we are in such a mess.

Any future board will need to know that they will not get off lightly if they destroy our club, so an example needs to be set.

Wilde gambled with our finances and Lowe just didn't have a clue about anything football related. The future needs to learn from these mistakes.

Agree, although I am just as ****ed off with what has gone wrong in the past few years (for me since strachan left), I think we should be more concerned about the future and a fresh new start without the parasites involved.

Agreed! If the mud-slingers want a thread for themselves, then please can they create their own unambiguous thread.

All I care about at the moment is that we have a footy team to follow next Week / Next month / Next Season.

Was sort of expecting afew truths to surface - which is why I posted th thread on confidentiality clauses.

Whilst Ponty is right - it IS time to look forward - I expect we'll see many many more accusations and examples of Lowe's incompetence emerging. This is the start of many revelations.

Frankly, if we learn from them, I look forward to reading them.

I read it this morning on the way to work and can say i dont believe most of it. In fact i would go to say considering the coverage in the Echo they themselves are very much in the firing line with what they have printed in recent years. Jumping to the instructions of Lowe, Wilde and pr companies.

The one interesting fact i could deduce from todays garbage was that Lowe wanted Gorman and Dodd to remain as caretaker managers until the end of last season !

I am extremely bored with reading this past stuff now and wish the Daily Echo would stop printing their so called exclusive stuff which can be taken with a pinch of salt like everything else.

Whilst I ultimately understand the desire to move onwards & upwards to ignore the past in my opinion is the wrong thing to do.

It may well give some of us a level of closure on the whole Rupert Lowe episode. I sense some people dont want to examine the past as it may well highlight some of their own naivety towards the man & his utter contempt for the fans, his ineptitude in management & his lack of integrity.

Correct. A minority will have alot of egg on face as these revelations come out. This will go on for sometime. Fact is, Lowe will sell newspapers - we shall read an awful lot. Nothing anyone can do about it other than... well... if possible, enjoy! ;)

Poortvliet was on £60k???

Quite a lot of Saints supporters will be earning more than that

That seems peanuts for a Championship manager

Totally naive to give him that sort of money and merely showed he was a peanut manager working for peanuts !

Lowe then goes out and burns £500,000 on a rather joe average midfielder that wasnt needed.

There was plenty of naivety towards the "Lets Go Wilde" Revolution too amongst many other things..

This is not only going to be a history about the ineptitude of Lowe - It will include Wilde, Crouch, Burley, Hone and others too !

Still interested ?

Cowen did vote against. That is correct.

Dodd & Gorman were appointed as a short gap as Fulthorpe had indicated Shearer had agreed to join if his consortium took over.

Your not wrong Foxstone.

That is why I want to hear as much as possible about all of them & draw my own conclusions about all the shenanigans that went on behind our backs.

IMHO it all started with Lowe - so thats where we start, Cowen, move onto Wilde & his execs, to Crouch then back to Lowe & Wilde.

Fair enough Corky and Saintstr1...

But I hope this period of cleansing will be short to allow us plenty of time to think and talk positive about our club again, before the new season starts.

Personally, I find the constant negative publicity that our club has generated for far to long now totally exasperating.

"Those who fail to learn the lessons of the past, are destined to relive it"

Never a truer word spoken. And from what i've seen in the last 24 hours the Pinnacle lot could be another repitition of the Wilde bunch.

I'm a little surprised mate. Yes, we should definitely be looking to the future, but there are several skeletons in the SFC cupboard, and practically all of them produced by gagging orders, deceptions or rumour. I don't think we can just wipe the slate clean. SFC needs to learn from these errors, and we'll only feel absolutely right again about our club if it comes clean with us. Then we can finally move on and forget about the whole sorry last 5 years.

I'll be pleased to read it. I would be interested what the source is and who has the editing pen that stops all the mishaps being put up.

I thought it was common knowledge that AC went to visit RL the night before the boardmeeting telling him that the rest of the board did not want GH. The Shearer thing was also well known.

Any information on the wages and all the board minutes for the last 5 years may be interesting.
