I am more than happy for the new regime/MLT to decide the way to go for the manager for next season, but wondered what posters preferences would be?

Realistic options?

Wotte

Tisdale

Dowie

Adams

MLT

any other old boys? Dodd, Benali, Flowers in some combination?

My vote would go for Tisdale

Dowie for me.

All I know about Tisdale is that he's managed two promotions in a row which is obviously a big achievment but I don't know the first thing about Exeter, how they play or what they where like before Tisdale took over.

he had to sell a lot of players to balance the books, spent little, team play attractive football and win!

;)

So, do we actually know the result of the meeting today? we might not even be looking for a manager!! I hope we bloomin well are but Wotte may have already got the gig for next year!!!!

I left Wotte as one of the options;)

not that I would try and influence your views but..

Tisdale was on the radio recently talking about us being a great club who should be in the premiership.

I feel Paul Tisdale is just the sort of bloke to give us a fresh start;

articulate, listen to post match in

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/e/exeter_city/7976044.stm

product of our youth system

only 36.

learnt management trade in non-league with Bath Uni- 4 promotions in 5 seasons

his side plays attractive football

losing in play off final in first season at Exeter

won plays off in 2nd season - despite having to sell many players

another promotion in his 3rd season

definately on the way up, no failure/sacking baggage like most managers

on of sky sports top ten football league managers (list before much of this good season)

A young, fresh, modern manager for us to unite behind?

Has proven himself at a lower level but even there didn't experience failure.

I'd go for Steve Cotterill.

Not glamorous or exciting but knows the lower leagues, has a very good reputation from people in the game as an excellent coach and by all accounts watched us a few times last season so has a bit of knowledge about what we need.

Steve Coppell please

:smt046 You honestly think this has a chance of happening?

Tisdale for me. I just have a feeling he may be a star in the making!

I also wouldn't be unhappy with Dowie either.

Don't know enough about Tisdale and I'd obviously support him if he were appointed but....I'm always a bit wary of managers who've only had success at one club. The setup at Exeter probably suits him but there's no guarantee that he can transfer that to us. He could be a total success (as could anyone) but I'd rather have someone with a bit more experience.

Would love to see Tisdale take charge. I've managed to see Exeter a few times in recent seasons and he's got his team playing decent, attractive football. During his short managerial career, he's done pretty well to be fair and he's definitely one manager with a bright future. He has ties with Southampton and despite Exeter's success, I think he may be tempted if he were offered the top job here. If the Pinnacle bid goes through, then there may even be a little bit of money to spend and that could persuade him. Tisdale has also got a decent knowledge of the lower leagues too, something we will need to utilise more now than ever before due to the fact that we're a League One side.

I've also forgotten the WGS option, as did the OP. Perhaps that's best left as a fantasy option anyway.

deliberately left of as imho not realistic and would just get all the votes!

please take last option off!

I voted the last option. I don't mind who they put in, if they even change it. It's their money to waste.

Team Bath

Injury forced him to end his career early, and he took a coaching role with Team Bath in 2000. His time at the University of Bath side is best remembered for the FA Cup run in the 2002-03 season, in which they became the first university team to enter the competition since Gonville & Caius in 1881. Team Bath entered in the preliminary round and advanced through four qualifying rounds to the first round proper, before losing to Mansfield Town. At Team Bath, he had a great deal of success, earning four promotions.
