I don't know... I still think we would be pretty attractive to most managers, especially one looking for a footstep into the PL. the reality is we're not down... yet and a few wins on the bounce would all but confirm safety. If we can promise funds to improve where needed / sell the 5 year CL dream (like we used to), I think we could get someone pretty decent.
  2. He'll get another chance on Saturday.... Lose that, he'll be gone. win it, he'll get the next game, fail to win that hes gone. The next 6 games are a must win for both us and him. I still feel like we have given him far too long, if we go down it is the boards fault.

It would 1 million percent help our situation. I think it is clear to everyone, but the current clowns running our club that MP isn't up top the task (no matter how nice he is and how much the players like him). If we sacked Reed & Ralph tomorrow and brought in someone else who could persuade a decent manager (think Cortese persuading / selling the project to Poch) to take over, we would survive. Not to mention the long term benefits. Unfortunately the owners appear to have very little drive and R & R have pretty much free reign.
  4. We are ****ing terrible at defending. Shambles.
  5. No but we do need someone in there who has a bit of creativity.
  6. Mooy - very good player. Just what we’re missing in all honesty. Would be perfect replacement for Davis. Would probably have Ake and Wilson as well
  7. Was let go at a young age. In the main he was developed and given first team opportunity by Bournemouth.
  8. Vokes and Ings both came through Bmouth Acadmey.
  9. Depends how they define ‘playing’ and when it was written. No doubt talksport have included the likes of Stephens who isn’t an academy product at all
  10. Lallana and Lovren have both crumbled under the pressure of the abuse they receive. My view, maybe a bit childish, but if you’re going to give them grief, don’t boo go in really hard on them. I want to hear the whole stadium singing about lallana and Lovren’s cheating partners, Clynes drug problem and VvD weight issue.
  11. It’ll be this (excluding Davis as we can’t play with 12). He might start Long though (which I don’t think would be a bad idea against their high-line and pretty suspect CB’s.
  12. Lallana by a long way. I love the fact the rat bottles it every time he plays down here (I’m also told he’s not a great fan of living in that ****hole up there, as well). Not too bothered about the others, if I’m honest. VvD and Lovren went about it the wrong way, but it was clear that they were using us as a stepping stone, as it was with Mane. I think pretty anyone that knew him would tell you Clyne is a ****ing helmet who was more interested in fame/money - it doesn’t surprise me that it’s started to come out about his ‘apparent’ drug problem. Lambert, well not sure what you can say. He was as good to us as we were to him. He was pretty respectful in the way he went about it and I’m pretty sure he wouldn’t have left us for anyone else (at that time). He probably deserved the move more than anyone else.
  13. Wanyama is unreal btw. He is such a loss to us (I always argued he’d be a bigger loss than Morgan). He got a lot of stick for his passing, which is no way as bad as many made out. Just imagine him and Lemina together
  14. Yep. Said this all along. Can’t believe a fair few wanted him here. Very decent bloke, but a pretty average manager.
  15. He wouldn’t get in any other PL side, so anything between £10-15m id say.
  16. On my way back as we speak, I actually thought our fans were pretty good today. Stuck with us even at 1-0 down, when things could have turned nasty. Im not a fan of booing although I can see why fans do it, especially recently. I’m led to believe thy generally we have a decent bunch of lads, am also told that generally they ‘like’ MP (not sure if that’s personally or in a footballing sense). I think they want him to do well, unlike Puel - which proved his downfall. Maybe that’s why the board have given him more time than he probably deserved. I’ve been a big critic of the board, but despite how people feel, we really need to rally behind the squad. Hopefully today will inspire the fans / players.
  17. So refreshing to see us attack teams, shock it makes us play better (had we tried to hold 2-1 we’d have lost that game). Lemina back to his very best Carrillo highlighted just what we’ve been missing (a focal point to our attack) Bertrand and Cedric v good... again. Good to see JWP getting amongst the goals recently (fair play to him, been very good recently). Feel so much more confident having McCarthy between the sticks. Don’t want to get carried away as it was only a very poor West Brom... but imo one of the best performances this season. On to Liverpool, which should suit us. Also, well done to MP today.

    Jack Stephens

Not a CB, so weak defensivly. Would be perfect sitting just in front of our back 4 imo. He’s very good on the ball, but very weak at marking and anytime the ball comes into our box in the air. Their first goal today highlights why we need a new CB, IMO. There’s still a place for him in the team, it’s just not at CB.
  19. And CB’s tbf. We have to be the weakest team in the league for defending crosses.
  20. Regardless of what happens tomorrow I think I would actually keep him until the Liverpool game and then sack him regardless. All in all we've done alright against the top 6 (probably because we are so defensive) and it would give us enough time to sort out and get in a replacement of the quality we would want. A bit like Adkins / Poch where it was announced at the same time.

    Pellegrino OUT

He's in with the board - why would he criticise them? The club scratch his back (free tickets - I assume, trips to the training ground) he scratches theirs (free PR).
  22. If I was Gao, I’d combine Les and Ross’ role and get straight on the phone to Mitchell and beg him to return.
  23. No, I’m not saying that at all. I’m in the fortunate position that I can take everything I hear as a pinch of salt and check with someone who can confirm either way. What I’m saying is some people come on here to read snippets, if you don’t believe what someone is saying, ignore it.
  24. The abuse everyone, willing to stick their neck on the line and share snippets, get is weird. I put it down to jealousy if I’m honest. If you don’t believe someone ignore it, don’t abuse until they no longer post alas Tom.
  25. Feel a bit sorry for him to honest. It’s not his fault he got the job with a bang average CV, it’s not his fault we have kept him in charge for so long even though it’s clear he’s not good enough, it’s not his fault the board failed to deliver numerous key targets. He could have stepped down, but that would mean walking away from £m’s.... you can’t really blame him for that.
