That is one of our problems, whilst I agree he has been much improved we need better from our attacking players. He is either part of a 2 or 3 depending on Ralph’s formation and his goals and assists are just not enough if we have ambitions of avoiding relegation fights. I am not singling him out as the same applies to all of the others, we really need better quality attacking players but I guess a front 3 of Ings Redmond and Ward Prowse is the best we can hope for.

Just goes to show if we had a half decent striker what could be possible.

I have to agree, nobody gave a toss in the 80s , 90s or even up until some bright spark here said he wanted half the team from the academy. What matters is are they good enough and from what I have seen the answer is no or being overly generous not yet. Why do you think the club wants it’s academy players in the first team, it’s for the potential sale not some sentimental crap that we might get some super recognition for it. Unfortunately for many reasons we have a pretty poor squad at the moment and despite what some say on here we are in danger of being relegated.

The problem is the amount of players we are going to have to try and sell in the summer, all the loans plus the ones we couldn't shift in January. We know we already have to buy Ings so we could still be struggling to get in new players.

The problem in the summer will be all our loan outs will be back so no doubt we will have to move them on again, probably as a loan as no one will buy them before we can bring players in. I am sure Ralph wanted players this window but the club were unable or unwilling depending on your stance to come up with the goods. In 4 or 5 weeks time we will find out if the gamble has paid off or not but even moving up the table by a few places secures far more than a few weeks saved wages so to me it’s a hell of a risk

But it doesn’t matter we are more than good enough to stay up
