  1. A better analogy would be whether you're skilled at serving existing customers or reaching out and securing new ones, which in some industries at least are quite different roles
  2. Koeman did well for us last time by taking over from a high pressing manager and just tweaking things a bit, so he could repeat the trick. I'd keep Ralph for now though
  3. Why do they have the thing of making the ref watch it on a monitor? It delays the game even more and puts extra pressure on the ref
  4. It happens every week when we're on one of our good runs. "Credit to Southampton but City/United/other played really poorly". Yes there was a reason that they played poorly, we made them.
  5. We're back to opposing teams/fans thinking they just played badly against us when actually we stifled them with our system
  6. It's almost as if it was our injury crisis and lack of squad depth that was the problem last season and not Ralph
  7. Why would Gray choose us over Everton? I agree though that there not much left to say about Redmond. He does have some ability but seems unlikely to ever fulfill it
  8. Ronaldo scores but United lose. Not for the last time this season I suspect
  9. Why would he choose us over Everton?
  10. Second in the table with an Angers team winning plaudits: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2021/sep/13/angers-ligue-1-great-fun-gerald-baticle Playing mostly as a striker according to Transfermarkt and has two goals in five games. That said, he has a lot of the Ben Arfa about him and I wouldn't have him back
  11. I don't think Broja is quite ready to start against Manchester C but it's definitely reasonable for Armstrong to not be an automatic starter this season as he acclimatises to a tougher league
  12. Maybe he has and it wouldn't? Alexander Arnold struggled there for England
  13. I'm actually quite sad about the Echo these days. All they seem to do is rehash stories from other websites
  14. You've got such a problem when the chairman is signing players without any recourse to coaches/scouts
  15. Perhaps, but their careers at international youth level are in no way comparable, if that's any guide
  16. I suppose in today's game a player like Case might stay at Liverpool as a rotation player
  17. He played for the youth team last week and has only played half a game in the cup for the first team. He is making the bench for Champions League ties but not League games, suggesting he's only there because it's a larger bench
  18. He played for the youth team last week and has only played half a game in the cup for the first team. He is making the bench for Champions League ties but not League games, suggesting he's only there because it's a larger bench
  19. Even if we did try for them, Sevilla and Atalanta are more attractive propositions for players than us at the moment unfortunately
  20. Not even on the bench for today's game
  21. Ralph says a lot of things, such as Djenepo playing left back. If Stephens doesn't perform then he'll get dropped, no doubt about it
  22. If everyone does that then no one gains and a lot of clubs get in serious financial trouble. There has to be a point at which clubs say no, it's not safe to spend any more
  23. As good as he still is, I wonder if he'll be detrimental to the team at a whole. Utd need to move on from being a team of individuals really. Can he press or is he going to be a passenger? Also some doubts last season about whether he can still do it against the best teams
  24. TBH I think that's pretty weak but arguably not as much as our GK position I suppose. We ought not to forget that Walcott had some good games last year, albeit he hasn't done it in a while
  25. I'm happy for him to be given a chance but wouldn't be getting my hopes up based on performances against lesser opposition
