Everyone is smashing Villa home and away, so this in the cold light if day is two point dropped in the tile race...yeah I know.

The most Frustrating game of the season. Excellent to sneak a point, but so many under par performances. Forster still to convince me he is better than Boruc.
-
"getting into the top four would be remarkable because, ...er we have been playing in the CL this season." what a ****ing muppet.
-
Can they actually fall any lower from grace than this? Perhaps this is it, this is the lowest point...
-
is Nugent any good. Every time he plays against us he seems a very good player and causes us all sorts of problems, but he never seems to be able to notch in the top flight against anyone else.

I like how Markus' name has been attached (not in the literal sense) to the training centre rather than say a stand at the ground. Very fitting and makes perfect sense.

That last point is very important. Last season our form dropped off a cliff when we lost Lovren to injury. This season Koeman is playing key players in the league cup, which I like, but that increases the risk of losing them to injury. Can we continue to win games if we lost Fonte for a month or Tadic or Pelle. We have replacements, but is the edge lost?

You'd assume right. It's been amazing. Unbelievable maybe? I thought Schneiderlin had gone and there would be no turning back from that, but keeping him has made a big difference. Morgan is the premierships best kept secret for me. If I became manager of any of the big sides he would be my first signing. The Pelle signing was equally important. For all the nice football we play you still need a big strong fella up the front to be the focal point and he has been brilliant. Great first touch and now goals a plenty. I still think manure got Shaw for a bargain and I'm not 100% convinced yet by Long, Forster and Bertrand, but it's only been five minutes so it will be interesting to see them continue to improve. I do wonder how we will do against the to sides one after the other. But that said we gave them all, Chelsea apart, the run around at our place last season, so,why the hell not this? The big sides are put on a pedestal, but they are only human. Has a relegation favourite ever won the top flight before?

Kicks it better and further than Boruc and doesn't fanny about with it. On the negative side he looks a little nervous and has flapped a little. The thing about Arthur was that he pulled off some absolute worldies. The flip side being some total **** ups. Not many mistakes mind, just a couple of high profile howlers. Yet to see Forster do that - draw dropping saves I mean. Age on his side and all that. Shame we don't have both...

I guess the question on everyone's lips is can we beat the really big sides, because we seem to be beating everyone else. Amazing stuff. Lovin it.

Long should score there but he just doesn't have that killer instinct.

Ye old white heart in the old town, although I don't think they serve Samuel smiths anymore, which is a lovely pint.
-
he brought Diouf on to play alongside Crouch. They were effectively playing a 4-2-4 formation which for a period caused us a few problems. More bodies, more pace. As simple as that really.

I'm after a Hull ticket if anyone has a spare. Can't take the minibus offer above as I'm staying up norf.

Penny seems to have lost weight, but her dog has the same wardrobe falls off an aircraft carrier like grace as it enters the water.

I had a quick listen to express radio on the way home and the general feeling on their seemed to be that the fans are split right down the middle as whether awful should stay or go.

The shakers were joint favourites before the season started I think.

you have pretty much saved me the bother of typing a considered response. I could not agree more with you. At some point enough is enough.

not a fan then? I've never heard anyone describe Robson in that way. Very interesting. He was the big thing when I was a nipper. Everyone had a pair of his shin pads. I can't get that World Cup goal against France out of my head.

I've never been Beckham's biggest fan. I prefer wide players to be quick, have tricks and be bale to beat man. But he certainly did a great job for Manure and England. He certainly made the most of his talents. Perhaps if I had watched him for United more I might have had a high opinion of him at the time. That said I honestly didn't realise Beckham scored so many beauties... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UAkY3jI2vqE

Long is busy and decent in the air, both facets to his game that I saw when he played for WBA against us. However, the question mark has always been his finishing ability. Yet to see anything that makes me think that he will score a lot more goals for us than previous sides, but then again we are only 8 games into the season and he's not exactly been given a run in the side. If Pelle gets injured the huge investment in him might seem a little better spent than it currently looks.

As he did when manager of Saints MOpo pressed the opposition when he knew they would play it out from the back. We failed to cope with that pressing conceding possession too often and when we did get beyond the first line of their defence we didn't break quickly. I thought both of our fullbacks were very average going forward, although the back four played defensively. Bertrand had a poor game with the ball. He wasnt alone. Tadic and pelle didn't do nearly enough. Tadic showed flashes early on but littl after the break. When we took Wanyama off we lost our shape for a while. I suppose we had to gamble, but conceding the middle of the park meant we saw no ball at all for about ten minutes.
-
is that a league rule or a Chelsea decision?
-
Great that England will at last have a right back (that can defend) playing at right back.
-
if anyone has a spare ticket I'll take it off your hands.
