  1. I think the same. But lower league football is only good if you are winning every week and without the funding that will eventuall stop as it it did in the CCC. You'd soon get sick of it if we lost every week. Having said that I'm not sure why fans have to fork out a small fortune once you get there. SKY give you £30m minimum so that should cover the extra wages. I think its very clear that the new owners don't truely care about the fans, its purely a business venture - if there was any doubt. With that in mind it won't make any difference if decisions are criticised as the only reason they will leave is if the right offer comes in and that won't happen until a promotion or two takes place.
  2. it was a fan comment not a story in the paper.
  3. people seem scared to criticise perhaps because a) it shows a lack of humbleness for them saving us last summer b) worried that if NC ups sticks then so will Marcus.
  4. when it is £10 will people complaining still receive reponses like "Its only £10, shut up and get on with it"?
  5. didn't realise third division football was a premium product these days.
  6. where do you get this £50 (£50k total) admi cost to the club from? Are you trying to say that it takes three members of staff to administer this for the whole year doing nothing else in that working year. There is minimal or no cost to the club.
  7. its a real gamble. I can honestly say that if I stopped buying a season ticket then there is a very good chance that I'd get out of the habit. I get the feeling that happens a lot, especially to ST holders of a certain age. I have to say though if NC really wanted to move people from STs to individual game prices why didn't he close the gap between the cost of the two or indeed do away with STs alltogether. He's dropped half STs, so why not STs?
  8. I have no evidence at all. I was basing my opinion on posts in here pointing to 100 or so defaulters. If there were very few fair enough, your opinion then gains more substance. Your theory has NC bankin on previous season ticket holders having to attend about 15 individual games for the club to make more money out of them. That sounds quite a high figure. In the end it matters not why he has done it, what matters is that it is a poor show, and we agree on that.
  9. they are going to go up if people have to drive to the club to buy their tickets from the front desk rather than online. Good point my son.
  10. you always know when you have won the arguement, its when the other party reverts to name calling. Love you.
  11. I'm a long term season ticket holder that pays up front. So I reflect the sort of people you have spoken to. I don't agree with your opinion that NC is just doing it to get people to pay for single tickets. I believe he discovered late on that people had absused the staged payments option and instead of finding a way of stopping people abusing it, so the option could continue, he was just so ****ed off (rightly so) that despite the club being saved by MLs money these people effectively cheated the club out of the sort of money that was needed - that he stopped it immediately. Typing this out I can see myslf being equally angry. There would be no club without ML and how do these people repay them - they take from the club. My first reaction would be to stop the staged option. But that doesn't mean it is right. A mistake has been made here and if NC discussed the implications with fans as he said he would do in his charter then maybe he would have revaluated his decision.
  12. I love the way you just totally disregard the importance of 10% of the most ardent supporters. Its not so long ago that at some midweek games ST holders made up 90% of the crowd. ST holders are the lifeblood of the club and deserve a little more respect IMO no matter how they paid. £350,000 of income is certainly worth admistrating, as is the £150,000 from half season tickets. By the way I only see 20 opinionated posters on the other side of arguement.
  13. I just wondered how many of the people on here that are chastising those that question some of the recent decisions are season ticket holders that previously paid for their ticket in installments? Their appear to be quite a few ST holders that pay up front but still see the new ticketing policies as being stupid, but are their ST holders who usually pay in installments telling people to suck it up?
  14. well if Liebherr is not using his own cash then we don't need to worry too much if he decides to sell.
  15. if NC calls it a day will ML really call it a day? If ML sells up what effect will that have on the club? How close to being self sufficient are we? I'm not calling for either by the way, I'm just interested.
  16. Yes thanks. How many times have you watched him at Gigg Lane?
  17. he's not a ball winner from what I have seen if him. He's a goalscoring midfielder that gets in the box a lot. Samedo is the ball winner in their side. Actually every time I've seen Bailey he has played out wide.
  18. that is bad news if true, but the fact Brighton withdrew the contract makes it highly unlikely that he will play for them next season, for me that brings into doubt the credability of his post.
  19. He scored the third, but Shelvey and Racon (an absolute beauty) scored the others when we lost 2-3 in the last season in the CCC.
  20. the guy winning all the attacking headers at corners, nearly scoring several times, that was Bailey.
  21. Quite a lot of mentions of Samedo. I picked him out two seasons ago as a very good defensive midfielder. He went off the boil the season before last, but returned to form last season. Ideal player for us. Just what we are missing.
  22. despite previously being called Mongtard by your goodself young Stewart, I can still spot a decent bit of research and valid post (or two) when I see one. I'm embarresed for NC and those that gloss over his actions on here.
  23. he did well in the championship, was happy to stay and try and get Charlton promoted, but surely if he is to leave Charlton it would only ever be to a CCC side? I'd be surprised if we could get him if there was genuine CCC interest, but who knows. Fonte dropped down a division so anything is possible.

    Ryan Dickson

tremendous acquistion. Buying the best young talent from this division is an excellent transfer policy especially when these players look as though they can handle the step up in division. When his name was first mentioned on here I read the Brentford forum description of him and he has everything you could want of a fullback. This potential signing reminds me very much of when the skates took Matty Talyor for next to nothing from Luton (a divsion below at the time). At that time he was the best fullback in the third tier and he instantly shined when stepping up to the Nationwide league and was instrumental in getting them promoted. No step up in division here, but stand out talent is obvious and at 23 he is going to improve.
