that reads to me like he has just signed a new five year contract with us. Nice. Glad that is all done and dusted.

nervous about getting a pasting, as we are usually turd when on TV, but at the same time I'm quite excited at te thought of pressing them high up the pitch and putting them under a bit of pressure like we did to Poopey amd Ipswich last season and Blackpool this. I hope we don't approach the game like Ipswich did last night with men miles behind the ball just hoping that Arsenal have a bad shooting day. How nice will it be if they go unbeaten in the league but we can say "meh, we beat them"? FA Cup. Love it.

Dexter Blackstock was bought for £275,000 from Oxford, admittedly at a young age, but stretching it a bit to say he came through our youth system. -
Not sure I agree with that. After about 20 seconds of their debuts you could see that both Walcott and Alex were top class. Thomson on the other hand just looked lightweight and out of his depth and in all other appearances he looked the same. Very good players stand out.

I would suggest the conversation went something along the lines of: NC "Mackail-Smith looked decent today, is he available Barry?" BF "No, but of course every player has his price." NC "And that price is?" BF "You'd better give my Chairman a call next week as he had other offers" NC "Mr Chairman I wonder if I could have a chat about Mackail-Smith" DM "For, sure" NC "Is he available and how much for?" DM "£2M" NC "We were thinking around £1m" DM "Nice try but I've just turned down a bid for £1.5m, so come back to me when you've upped your thinking"

I'm immediately remind of two posts. The first by Saint_Clarke that went: "People are STILL saying that Puncheon was wearing disrespectful clothes, but; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=70xt5Q_pS4s Look 5 seconds in. Black trousers, black shirt. Not white shirt and jeans as people keep saying." and the second a wonderful post by The9 that went along the lines of: "That won't stop people going on about it forever though, this is one of these facts that we need a section in SaintsWeb to hold, so it can be linked every single time someone perpetuates the same old incorrect argument." Either people get their facts right about the guy or let's just stick to your opinions about him shall we.

Nice to see the players offering their time to do this. It would be nice if they could change the wording on that announcement to something like `players get to meet fans'. I know it makes no difference, but now we are in the lower leagues it would be good if the relationship between players and fans was a little more approaching the `good old days' when players saw themselves as fortunate rather than something special.

no he hasn't. At Barnet he was fantastic right up to the point Plymouth signed him. He got 6 games at the start if the season under Luggy and he was dropped for being crap. He was loaned out because he was not in Luggys plans. He was great at MK Dons throughout the two loans spells. Then he came to us. Where is this history of starting well before going sour? He may have a bad attitude. He may be having a tantrum because he is second fiddle. He may be unhappy at not getting his move to Millwall. He may not have his head right. He may be a spoiled brat. All these things MAYBE possible. But let's not start making stuff up about how he started well everywhere he's been before ****ing everyone off at that club before being chased out of town.

So Connelly is going to Charlton then. that wouldn't surprise me. EDIT: oh, that's just me putting 2+2 to get 14.

class.

I can assure you it wasn't.

Was thinking about this and Sheff Wed are the obvious candidates. With the Mandick takeover they have come into money and the chairman will have watched Hughes more than any other league 1 manger/scout that's for sure. He'll know his contract if he gave it to him and he certainly knows the man. Bournemouth might still be interested. Bradbury was at the skates at the same time as Hughes. Doubt they coud afford him though.

a ****ing men.

MOTM last Saturday mate. He'll do for me.

he came out and safely collected several in the game against Notts county. Compare that with Bart in the game against Blackpool where he flapped at the two he came for. Coming for crosses certainly is not Kelvins strong point, but is it Barts?

Have I missed something, I thought he was a physiotherapist not a physcologist?

if you give away cheap goals like the first today then its always going to be an uphill battle. Its very difficult to win away when conceeding the first goal. It was a bad day at the office. Hopefully we can bounce back. I for one won't be calling for Kelvin's head after this game. He's made one or two mistakes in recent weeks, but what keeper doesn't at this level? Besides he's more than made up for these in other games this season - Brighton at home for instance. He does call and he does come for a few crosses.

calm down dear, I'm not slagging you or anyone else off. You know the square route of **** all when it comes to our exact finances - just like me. You just talk as though you do, which is why I asked the question to see if you had some sort of inside track to the finances. You don't, so I suggest you wind your kneck in when making these apparent statements of fact. They are guesses nothing more. Having said that, if you'd care to read my post again you will see that I, along with one or two others have for a long time argued that we MIGHT be breaking even and are not reliant on ML money (usually on threads about how the world might end should NC leave) to clear any debt acrued at the end of a financial year (in the form of either a loan or a hand out). BTW don't post if you don't want others to read, examine, question, disagree and seak further detail.

if we bought him for £250,000 and they are only offering £150,000, that does not appear a valid offer.
