  1. very average player IMO. If we can steal Samedo from them then they will have real problems.
  2. I agree. I think the need for pace out wide is a must. Antonio changed games with his pace and raw power. As good as Puncheon is, he is a ball player that likes it at his feet and will go inside all day long. He doesn't have pace to run past a player like Antonio showed. Waigo, with his pace also changed games on occasions when he was brought on. The Barnard/Connelly substitution is very like for like, having another Waigo to alter the type of attack from the bench could be useful next season.
  3. personally I thought he looked very average against Gilingham and not at all assured. This was not helped by a very poor display from an ill Fonte, and of course the fact it was his debut. I thought he looked slow and not really nasty enough (despite his size), and in particular he looked poor in posession. As I said it was his debut so I'm not going to judge him on that display, but then again it might be equally folly to judge his ability to play all season should Jadhi be injured. Pardew will know if he is ready, although many have questioned one of his other centre back signings - Seabourne.
  4. Seeing as the TV money in the Prem is so large I thought perhaps fans might get in for free.
  5. Just wondering who is going to sign as cover to the PFA League 1 right back, cos its going to take a hell of a signing to get someone that will challenge him for the shirt.
  6. I thought he was a big hit at Olympiakos? Why would they let him leave and why would he want to join us?
  7. has he got pace? I've seen him play lots if times but can't remember him at all. £450,000 seems a lot for a player with only a year left on his contract, but if he is quality then who cares. Anyone able to offer a decent descriotion of how he plays? League 1 team of the year is nice but our friend Watsit was in that side two seasons ago and no one is going to tell me Harte was the best left back last season - so I'd like a few descriptions of anyone can offer them. I've read nails. That sounds good to me, but a bit of pace and attacking flair would be good to hear.

    Cortese V Lowe

depends if you think having childish spats with the Echo, removing Season Ticket payment plans at last minute, charging fans booking fees to buy tickets, increasing parking prices by 65%, not communicating with fans, ignoring his own Fans Charter are part of this `track record' you speak of.

on the other hand he could be cold and uncaring whilst making poor decisions.
  10. was there any explanation at all for the rise?
  11. if that free period is enough to queue to buy a match day ticket during the week that would be nice.
  12. Pleased with that, when match sharp he is top notch. There could be great competition between him and Barnard for that second striker slot. Are we allowed to say two summer signings now or not?

I can certainly live with the 10% increase in season ticket proces, but being charged £3 every time I buy a cup ticket or away ticket takes the ****ing ****. Thankfully there is a loop hole.

    ticket prices

If you take Huddersfield for example, their cheapest tickets for an adult renewing was £305 compared to our £328. But their family centre adult price renewel was just £140 + £25 for under 8 year old kids. Ours were £328 + £0 for under 8s. You have to a little deeper at the pricing before comparing them in simple one line terms.
  15. the site is so dull. Everyone agrees on everything.
  16. beer drinking football lovers.

If you don't mind could you point me to this, as I have asked the question many times about how reliant we are on Marcus and not got a decent response.
  18. I'm not sure the Boro fans rate him, but its a division below so he would probably shine.
  19. Scotland tore us to pieces in the CCC. I'd be surprised if he dropped two divisions. I always remember Faye to be another Folly - ****ing useless. Isn't he a proper mercenary as well?
  20. Always struck me as a good quality player at this level and similar in style to Lambert (great feet for a big man). Perfect as competition or back up to Lambert.
  21. don't agree with that. The Antonio year long loan deal worked out brilliant for us. We got a terrific player for a whole season. I'd much rather have a top player for a season then an average one for three. Take Molyneaux for example. A season long loan deal with a view to a permenent move would have made much more sense. Instead we eneded up playing him for 2.5 years for 2 games work.
  22. why? If those loans are players better than we haev at the club that can only be a good thing. I'd happily take the likes of Logan and Antonio on season long loans.
  23. if all else fails maybe he will eat Pulis.
  24. maybe we going to be charged for parking whilst we queue at the stadium to buy a ticket during the week?
  25. take the **** out of fans too much and in the end they'll just shrug their shoulders and stop going. You won't make profits out of those customers. Its supposed to be a club FFS
