your wish is Nigels command.

now that's poor keeping DT. You have to come for that.

were you ****ed by him?

Seaborne at fault for both goals. The first he showed Jaidi's pace, but without the strength, the second he just lacked Jaidi's strength. Very poor and exactly why people have doubted him. Davis will not doubt be blamed but neither were his fault.

The refusal to sell a season ticket at Southampton FC

didn't think he had moaned at all. I wouldn't doubt that the Echo had grabbed the story from here. -
we could with him back...as we are running out of whipping boys

so you are saying that Cortese knows the Saints Trust has all but dissolved? Boy he's clued up especially seeing as regular posters on here still haven't a clue what the status is to that fans group. Tell me another. -

fair play to you for putting you dislike of the guy to one side to see the club have failed to act correctly in terms of giving an explanation. -

so are you suggesting the `speaking on behalf others' is the reason for the ST removal? If the answer is no then your point IS irrelevant. -

yes absolutely. I felt strongly about the issue of the removal of the ST payment without any notice and posted at length on here. The Echo don't contact me as they do Nick, but if they did then I'd of expressed those same views to them and it might now be me that has had sanctions placed on buying a ST. I got my first in 1985 and renewed through thin and thin, so I'd be bloody fuming if I was treated as NI looks as though he has been. Quite frankly I'm amazed at his restraint. As I posted earlier it depresses me the lack of sympathy from fellow fans. -

that might annoy you, and I think you have made a good point, but I doubt that is the reason why he has been prevented from getting a season ticket. I therefore question its relevance. -

I'm not sure I understand your point. Both things? What both things? What difference does it make when it took place? -

shouting his mouth off? I thought he just questioned the club over the removal of the payment scheme? Either way it worries me that the `management' now feel it appropriate to place sanctions on a long term supporter. -

you are seriously trying to tell us that someone that posts over 18,000 times on here wouldn't jump as high as the Echo asked should they call asking for your opinion? -

Chez replied to lenwilkins's topic in The Saints
not at all. If he said "I speak for all fans" then that would be annoying, but he doesn't. Its blood obvious he speaks as an individual, or at most as the Chairman of a small fans group. By the way the club is the fans, not the owners, and certainly not a CEO that is merely EMPLOYED by the owners. -

He's the chairman (or head) of A supporters group, ergo he is a supporters chief. Not sure why people get so hot under the collar about the tags the media give the fella. I'm sure someone will enlighten me. -
with Hammond out of the side and Wotton/Puncheon off we appear to be short of whipping boys. Play Bart as often as Davis and you'd see a similar number of errors. On the flip side give him more games and hopefully you'd see an improvement in his kicking (which currently is woeful) just as Davis' kicking has improved. IMO Davis has done more than enough to keep the shirt.

I find it quite depressing that Saints fans are more than happy to just turn their back on a fellow supporter who has been treated this way having merely questioned the clubs actions that affect fans. If the club can not be questioned without the fear of sanction then there is something wrong. -
maybe, but some fans enjoy seeing us win on a regular basis and not having to pay £50 for a ticket - as we probably will by the time we get back there.

Contrary to what others have said he is not especially fast and that is one of the reasons he gets stick from fans. I'll explain. Because he lacks that yard of pace that you need to get to the byeline, he tends to be played on the opposite wing that enables him to present a threat when he comes inside. Fans want to see him bat on and stretch a fullback but he doesn't ever do that. After a while fullbacks work out that he is going to come inside all the time and he become ineeffective leading to fans moaning at him for not beating the fullback. What he offers is an absolutely golden first touch that will enable him to play in the top flight. He is totally one footed (left) but has the poise and balance to get him out of tight places. Some of his passing his delightful, but on occasions he tries to thread the ball through the eye of the needle and lets himself down by giving it away. He is not well liked at our place, but not just because of the recent refusal to play (on bench) at Tranmere. He has a very laid back style which some fans hate. Initially there wasn't a great deal of tackling which got other backs up, but funnily enough the more fans moaned the more he through himself into tackles. He was dropped by Adkins in favour of Chamberlain. At the time he wasn't playing well, holding on to it for far too long and not making quick decisive decisions. The fans moaned and he sensed it. When Alex was injured he got back in the side and the manager looked to have had a word. Instead of holding it for too long he passed quickly and became a very effective player. However, Chamberlain quickly came back in and he seemed to sulk thinking he should be first choice. There was a rumour of a training ground bust up with the assistant manager and this seemed to substantiated as after a few weeks was farmed out on loan to Millwall where he obviously shined. When he returned he was chucked in against you and he was decent playing in a more central role. Like I said he has the touch to cope with a congested midfield. That was a one off and he was dropped for Chamberlain and that led to the Tranmere situation. If Holloway puts his arm round him and he gets playing time, does well and gets fans support he may do well at your place. Lots of IFs though.

Wednesday signed Osbourne from Villa yesterday. What's he like?

I never thought either would go but I am still happy we have kept hold of both. I think what the window might tell us is that there is not millions available for transfer fees. We seem to be running within our means and long may that continue.
