  1. I know Manure fans are not well liked, but they seem to get shafted by every club with prices hiked up when they come to town. I realise they get to see their side win most weeks, but should we become a force in say 20 years time, how would we feel if we had to pay 50% at every ground we visited just because we were good? Actually how'd you feel if Letyton Orient and the rest of League 1 started charging just Saints fans £30+ for games in this division?
  2. as I recall he played very well indeed when he came on as a sub in the game at Scunny in a battling draw, but for some reason Pearson pretty much dropped him from his plans for a month after that. Never could understand why. He brought him back for a couple of games and we of course survived so hard to argue with Pearsons selections.
  3. Van der Sar, Neville, Evans, Vidic, O'Shea, Nani, Anderson, Carrick, Giggs, Welbeck, Berbatov Subs: Gibson, Possebon, Rooney, Kuszczak, Park, Rafael Da Silva, Fletcher With Rio now fit they might be even stronger this time round. Bloody hell, reality sets in.
  4. well if my Christmas with the inlaws was anything to go by, if the Dad doesn't really support anyone then Chelsea seemed to be the order of the day. How I shook my head is disgust as full Chelsea kit was unwrapped by a Fareham born child. Hope you and your kids enjoy the game.
  5. I'm talking about Dads bringing manure supporting kids, you appear to be a Dad with Saints supporting kids. Spot the difference? Where I was sat in the Itchen stand for the last game I saw several Dads with kids in tow that quite clearly were supporting manure. No offense to you or anyone else.
  6. you wanted us out of the Cup - teh win yesterday must have annoyed you. You preached that it would effect the game during the week. If we lose points at Oldham you get the chance to say I told you so - hence warm feeling. Sap? I love you to.
  7. Aren't you the touchy one, did our win yesterday ruin your weekend? Don't worry there is still the game at Oldham for us to lose points and you to get the chance to feel all warm inside. By the way the signing of Austin directly effects the team you support, the price of the tickets for the 4th round doesn't effect you in any way.
  8. first side to beat manure this season - now that would be quite a claim, especially if they go the rest of the season unbeaten. League cup defeat forgotten about of course.
  9. fully accepted by me, But as someone that has no interest in attending and therefore unaffected by pricing why do you get so involved in these kind of threads?
  10. or this. The club could waive the ticket tax for ST holders only perhaps. But they won't do this.
  11. FA rules don't allow this.
  12. I think you are probably right. The only difference is that Manure might (its a longshot I know) try a fraction harder than the Skates to have ticket prices closer to our League prices to appease their often taken for a ride ticketwise fanbase.
  13. away ticket price must be same as lowest home ticket price. You knew that though didn't you.
  14. actually Saints told the FA his ideal price, Shrewsbury told the FA theirs and then the FA decided on the final prices. HTH.
  15. there were so many tourists (or at the very least passengers) its not true. Moving large cunks of the Northam doesn't help either.
  16. Can't wait to see Lallana up against Neville. We can at last see if he could make it at that level. Nice reward for signing that deal to almost immediately get the chance to strutt yourself against the Champions elect.
  17. make no mistake the ground will once again be full of Dads bringing their Manure supporting sons with them. Whatcanyoudo other than pray for a Saints win and for those little bastards to enjoy the jubilation of the Saints fans so much that are tell their Dads that from now on the'd prefer to support Saints and not the ****y mancs?
  18. putting to one side the fact that he is probably not regarded by most of our fans fans as a big signing, he's cup tied. Oh and before anyone says he is 5'9" so not `big' either.
  19. not lost its magic to me, we just could do with a big old away game, perhaps in London where a massive away support can roar the lads onto a massive giant killing, perhaps coming from behind or a late winner. A game like that and anyone attending will forever have the cup in their heart. Not quite fulfiling all those elements, but even the Millwall away game on the cup final run was pretty special.
  20. Gobern, Holmes and Forecast are in the squad. Oh, I see. Actually Morgan makes my starting 11 and I'd take Surman back every day of the week.
  21. likewise, but the Manure fans would have to get offered tickets for £25 so they effectively would see the game for less than many of our own fans. I doubt our club will go for that. It will be £30. Out of interest at what price would people actually give it a miss, £40? £45?
  22. can we put a kit together of our own that forces them to wear grey?
  23. ****in hate united, am I deluding myself when I think we have a chance if we should sneak an early goal?
  24. to be fair to them, their hearts are in the right place. They are just desperate for us to get promoted and if that means no cupo run so be it. Hand on heart the rest if us are the same, we're are just more greedy.
  25. actually his exact words from his interview on Radio Solent are: "Aaron Martin has made his debut today. Young centre half that we brought in from Eastleigh and er, we're delighted for him. That's his first full 90 minues for the football club." HTH
