    Papa Waigo

I'm still amazed at the number of tackles he puts in. When you see his body shape and how he is on the ball you get the impression he's one of those fancy dans wingers, but he's not that at all as he actually puts his foot in properly and that alone endeares me to him. He is offside a lot, even for man playing on the shoulder, its something he needs to think about a bit more, but I like his pace and every now and then he's going to be offside and clean through, and on the whole he takes his chances.
  2. He (Niemi) agreed a deal with AA to pay the remainder of his contract up.
  3. not looked but can pompey be officially relegated this weekend?
  4. Hreidersson is out of contract, although I think there was a clause in his contract similar to David James whereby he gets another year if he plays X number of games. I wonder if like James, Hreiderson may have renegotiated. Webber has another year, so he'll be there. Aren't wages covered by insurance if they get injured though?
  5. we played OK, we won the game by such a large margin partly down to some terrible defensive errors by them, Wotton was still ****. Morgan come back soon.
  6. I listen to talksport a fair bit because I'm in the car a lot and er, I like sport, but what a waste of a sports radio channel it is. I notice they have got ****flaps on board for the world cup. Another reason to dislike them.
  7. that's just his style. The game was so easy for us you can hardly blame him. I don't think I've ever felt so calm about a Saints win before and that has to rub off on a commentator if they know the game as he does. He bigged us up throughout the highlights programme. He knows us very well as he watches us on a regular basis and that was evident. I think he is very fair when it comes to Saints.
  8. he's certainly better than Puncheon in the second half against Swindon and full games against MK Donns and Hartlepool. Anotnio has had some bad games, but for me these are much outweighed by the good ones. The way he tore Bristol Rovers and Leyton Orient apart was a joy and if we are in League 1 next season then I look forward to him doing the same up and down the country. they are very different players by the way and absolutely no reason why both can't be accomodated in the squad or even the team. Antonio played up front, and both left and right wings yesterday, Lallana and Waigo were also moved about so AP feels they can all play in differnt positions if need be.
  9. saintkiptanui and Alpine told people to shut the **** up and I thought they meant people on here telling it how it is as apposed to telling those that booed NC at Wembley. I just want to reiterate for the hard of reading, Maywhinney was booed, and NC was booed. Two seperate incidents. There is no confusion here on my part.
  10. oh I see. In which case forget what I said Alpine.
  11. why attack those reporting what happened? The damage (if any) was done yesterday. NC will either be non plussed or he won't. What we discuss here won't have a bearing at all.
  12. yes I missed it sorry.

    Dan Harding

one bad game (against Bristol Rovers) all season says it all. Compare last season with the likes of Lancashire being bullied by forwards to this with Harding bullying attackers. Has he improved a lot? I wonder because I don't understand why the likes of Leeds didn't rate him.
  14. why suggest it was the part timers? There is no way of determining who booed and who didn't. Just because you don't go to every game doesn't make you less informed, less loyal, or less entitled to your opinion.
  15. nope, the boos were from whole end rather than a small section of the ground. That said it was only a small percentage of people. Not sure why people are bothering to say they didn't hear it, it happened, that ios all that matters and shows how a large amount of people don't like him.
  16. NC was booed when first shown on the big screen. I heard it clearly in block 235. When he appeared later he wasn't booed. Mexican waves suck. We almost scored during one and I bet thousands doing it and watching those do it would have missed the goal.
  17. even if we don't he is still going to be bloody handy in this league next season.
  18. and I'd be surprised if they don't both make good financial sense as well. Are we going to find players better without a great deal or luck or a great deal of cash spent?
  19. could not agree with you more.
  20. Looking at our own situation I was wondering what the possibility would be of Marcus selling the club back to the fans. The Barcelona model appears to be the dream for English clubs these days and I wondered if perhaps every Saints fans could aquire a share from. He could still make a profit and maybe fans can have five years to buy their single share? OK so it sounds like a pipedream, but what a legacy - the man who saved the cloub and then gave it back to the fans. People go on about having gotten their club back, but have we really? Obviously there are massive holes in my idea but its a starter for ten.
  21. often `football hooliganism' sentances in England don't really fit the crime, but the whole world knows the position so there is no point moaning about it afterwards.
  22. can't be long to wait for Grant to say "It would be in the spirit of football to let O'Hara play..."
  23. where do I sign. The season has been bloody great. A wembley win would be tremendous. Huddersfield and Swindon away seem so far away now.
  24. because it would mean we made it to the play offs and for me the two Derby County games were amoungst the best games I have ever been to. Yes it hurt like hell when we lost, but I will never ever forget the feeling when our second went it. I've never pogowed so high in my life and I just know I won't get that sort of buzz in the JPT final unless we go a few down and come back in the second half. Does that ever happen in cup finals? The play off games are on a different level in terms of excitement. The atmosphere both at SMS and at their place was incredible. Second to none and that is hard to find in these days of all seater stadiums etc. The FA cup final has probably spoiled me which is why the JPT final doesn't grab me. Don't get me wrong I am looking forward to Sunday and I will love seeing us win there if we do, but I think the play offs are possibly better equiped to offer me my `football fix'. I may be wrong, I'll let you know if it happens. Enjoy the day. Peace.
  25. the wage bill was £120 odd million over three years and they have made a huge profit on transfers. So how on earth can they be £100m in debt unless Gaydamak did a Glazier.
