same old ********. Barts kicking was as good/bad as Kelvins. Comparng their kicking to other keepers we have seen at SMS, both aren't too bad.
-
no. It was 4-3-1-2 Puncheon, Hammond and Morgan in the middle (left to right) Lallana in the hole
-
came and failed to get a few crosses that on another day coud have cost us. Not sure I was as impressed as some of you. Not saying I don't rate him, he is great cover, but just didn't think he was outstanding today. One decent save is pretty much all he did.

Very surprised to see us play 4-3-1-2, which left both fullbacks a little exposed, but it worked as it didn't allow Blackpool to play out from the back and for Lallana a free role which he clearly loves. Matt Philips was their oustanding player and he was just starting to cause us massive problems (down both wings) when Olle move him to right back???? Absolute madness. We immediately took charge again and their chance was gone. Blackpool had just two chances, a header and Bretties half chance. In the end it could have been a rout as we created some great opportunities. They were so open its not true. We thoroughly deserved to win. We dominated the middle, looked strong at the back and had the quality passing and touch up front to open them up time after time. Puncheon, Lallana, Morgan, Lambert, Dickson and Guly just linked up so well with each other. So much quality on the ball - too much or them. We only really gave it away when attempting to thread balls through the eye of a needle, but if we did lose it we showed the desire and workrate to win it back. Tremendous display. Roll on 4th round draw. West Ham at our place perhaps for another `giant killing'? Bart - 6 One top save, but got it totally wrong on a couple of crosses, very lucky to get away with both. A few poor kicks, a few decent long balls as well. Richardson - 7 Very tough oponent in Philips and having got an early yellow for a cynical tackle did very well to keep things tight despite having no cover at all Martin - 7 Strong and solid, never put under any real pressure mind. Won his share of headers and kept Euell quiet. Hard to fault him. Personally I felt very comfortable with him and Seabourn. I'm nit sure I would have said that in the summer. Seaborne - 8 Very strong performance, extremely composed on the ball keeping, posession almost all the time (rather than hacking it away) and some good passing on the deck. Looked very classy. Harding - 6 Looked a little slow over the first few yards, but recovered well on a couple of occasions to make up from this. Did make a few poor decisions, got caught ball watching, and done for pace against Philips the once (but who wouldn't?) when left exposed (as with Fraser he had no cover in front of him). Usual decent workrate and overlapping. Puncheon - 8 His first touch was even better than I remember it. A few misplaced passes, but not enough for fans to jump on his back. Kept posesion extremely well (in a very cngested midfield) and some of the first time passes with the outside of the boot were perfectly weighted. Poor tackling (basically he's a bit of a bottler) makes me wonder if being part of a central three is quite right for him, but it worked today. On that display we shpuld not be loaning him out we shoukd be rotating him with Chamberlain. Schneiderlin - 8 Looked excellent both on the right of the three and then in the middle. I thought he took charge especially when Hammond went off. I think he likes to be `the main man' and this brought the best out of him. Quick to jump on any loose control by the opposition, mopped up well and passed beautifully. Basically played the holding role as it should be played. Hammond - 7 Controlled the middle until injury. Hopefully not too bad. Lallana - 7 The free role is perfect for a player like him. Not only is his silky but he works his nuts off. Lots of **** corners. Lambert -7 Carried the form from Monday into today. Brilliant first half where he won headers (that went to Saints shirts) and bossed things. Faded a little in the second, but a decent game all the same that perhaps deserved a goal Barnard - 7 Worked hard (all three forwards did) and never let them buid from the back or settle, tired near the end. Great composure for his goal. Making it tough for Adkins when it comes to team selection. Perfect! Dickson - 8 Absolutely oustanding when he came on. I thought we might be in troubke especially as he was asked to play on the right of the three. But he kept the ball well, worked very hard and if he'd not be fouled after beating about his 4th man he might well have gone on to score the goal of the century. I wonder if he will ever score. Can't wait for the celebrations when he does. AOC - Not on long, but looked so comfortable in the middle with his back to goal. Pace stretched them perfectly to kill the game. Guly - Brimming with confidence and as soon as the ball rolled across him he looked likley to score, grea turn, but what a strike. If he continues to score goals its hard to keep him out of the team.

hopefully the Lallana deal will make Alex think twice about moving (not confident of that) as he may see a club going places. Wther that is at the speed he needs I don't know. Certainly can't of done any harm. We have momentum.
-
I've called for the club to offer Lallana, Morgan and Chamberlain five year deals and what do you know Lallana is offered exactly that. Absolutely brilliant news, what a fantastic few weeks we've had. Onwards and upwards. Looking forward to shouting his name today if he plays
-
he looked almost back to his best at Dagenham, now to do it against slightly better quaity
-
giving QPR more strikers than Forest so perhaps a place for us to look for a loan. I'll open with Cook and Leon Clarke.
-
sounds like we've got one or two that can't wait for our players to get injured tomorrow so they can come on here and give it the big I told you so. Best of luck with that.
-
no one gave a **** about the JPT this season, actually some didn't give a **** about it last season even when we got to the final and won it. The FA cup us a real trophy, something to be really proud of winning not slightly embaressed.
-
It will I'm afraid, because you haven't got you facts right, never mind the fact it doesn't paint the whole picture. After league cup games lost to Huddersfield away after Northampton game drew away at Stockport after Brum game After the FA cup games we beat Charlton at home after the Bristol Rovers game beat Wycombe after the Northampton game Drew away against Millwall after Luton game Drew away at Brentford after Ipswich game beat Norwich away after the Pompey game After the JPT games we beat Southend away after Torquay lost to Brighton after Charlton game lost to leeds away after Norwich game beat Ipswich in the cup after MK Dons game 1st leg lost to skates in the cup after second leg drew away at Brighton after Carlise game The only game that ended a run was the Leeds defeat away. Christ they were top if the league and flying, it would not of made a difference what game we had before that game we would have had a tough task. Yes we dropped 21 points, but you do know we dropped points in league games that came after other league games too, 38 in total with mky dodgy maths?
-
didn't cross my mind that Olham would be playing tomorrow. Good news as there whole first team will hopefully be tires/injured/suspended. They lost to Accringtom Stanley by the way for those involved in the side discussion about how `average' (not my words) Oldham are.
-
mostly, but why do you want to play the same team as we played at Dagenham? I am specifically talking about Richardson here, who I regard as our first choice, ergo we would play him on Tuesday in what some regard as the more important game. Not being hostile here, just interested to know why Richardson is singled out seeing as he was the only first choice player that didn't start at Dagenham. I guess by the same token I haev to ask why you don't want to rest Chaplow for Tuesday? Gobern has to play at some point otherwise he may as well be loaned out for the season.
-
hopefully fat boy Meller will be one of those remaining four. With Tudgay going out they will sign a striker so sure.
-
is Rhodes all that? He has quite a few goals this year, but he did not play in the last two games against us
-
Robert Earnshaw - out of contract at end of season and wants pay rise Dele Adebola - **** and going at end of season anyway Dexter Blackstock - out for season David McGoldrick - injured and hardly ever gets game Nathan Tyson - playing left midfield Gareth McCleary - only ever played out wide Marcus Tudgay Nialle Rodney - nipper yet to play Joe Gardner - been out on loan to Huddersfield, so not wanted
-
how is a move to a side near the top of the league above a sideways move?
-
Forest are not `most championship' sides. They have a minted a chairman and manager that has bent his ear so much over the last twelve months about the need to speculate to accumulate, I wouldn't be surprised if this was true. Blackstock is out for the season and Adelbola is on his last legs (he'll be gone in the summer whatever happens), they have not warmed to Garner and he may go back to Huddersfield. McGoldrick has been poor, Tyson plays out wide and they are even having problems with Ernie as he is out of contract in the summer and wants a bigger contract than the one he has, which Forest are refusing to offer. All in all I can say that they may well be in the hunt.
-
Will be great to give him the warm reception he deserves.
-
I don't think it is a lack of respect for us, its just a total lack of respect for the competition. Holloway talks of staying up and in time being strong enough to win the cup, but they could do that this year. Why not? The skates made the final and they were woeful last season. By the time they are `strong enough', the competition may be so devalued by the likes of him, that no one will bother with it.
-
but they did go up. They had the glory of the cup win and then went on to get automatic promotion. Lets do the same.
-
why play Richardson, he is first choice. Why not play Gobern? Do we want to cup tie Puncheon?
-
are you saying he rests Seabourne and brings in Jaidi? IMO he rests Jaidi and brings in Seaborrne. It matters not as we need spare CBs.
-
that should read "...according to some of you lot." Not everyone dislikes him or doesn't rate him.
-
I wonder if the cup run money last year enabled us to buy Richardson and Dickson in the summer, both helping us with our promotion push this? As far as anyone knows the club is being run totally within its means, so a cup run and the income it brings may actually be very useful indeed.
