Dyer wanted to leave, it made no difference that a new buyer was comng in he wanted to get away from Sotuhampton and obviously Swansea offered a very attractive escape route. As for McGoldrick and Surman I think its clear both feel they are good enough toplay in the CCC so they too may be askign for a move (new owner with money or not).
For those players the world doesn't stand still whilst due dilligence takes place. Even if the new owners were in place they would still be targets for the likes of Forest.
actually in that 2005/6 season Leeds' home gate only dropped below 20k twice (both 18k) for league games, but certainly the high ticket prices brought by Bates the following season (and then again the season after that in League 1) had a massive effect on overall attendances (they dropped bloew the 20k mark a lot). Bates took the **** and our next new board had better not do the same.
I was thinking the same thing. Would the buyer perhaps offer £1m less if he is sold before they complete the deal? Very interesting timing of Forrests part.
If we sell him who are we going to attract that is better? League 1 football is not a big draw if you haev any class at all. Mind you if we sold him and we managed to bring in N'Guessan I'd be happy.
would it not be more appropriate to thank JP and the players for losing every week thereby putting off the more casual fans. I'd of thought there were far more casual fans deciding to not turn up than boycotters.
to be honest I'm surprised Swansea want him, and I say that not because of the bagge he has btu because in the game I saw him play for Swansea he didn't look like he was any better than when he played for us.
why thank you kind sir. Hows about tellng me what you think of Saga, Skacel, Perry, McGoldrick and Lallana which will enable me to gauge the value of your own `Surman' opinion.
