just a thought, did the skates pay up front for the 4100 FA cup tickets or do they have a big pile of cash that needs to be divvied up between us? Mind you it probably doesn't matter as we will owe them for the 40% of the remaining 28,000.
-
no news of that on The Quay on the way home and they usually know these things before anyone else. Dindane has gone back to Pompey though. They've also sold out te Derby game. Who was it on here that tried to tell me they wouldn't?
-
wages halved if they go down? Peter Tells Stories is the best negotiator in the worldTM after all.
-
They have to hand in their notice and then the club has 14 days to pay them their wages or the contract then becomes null and void (and they become out of contract players). No player is going to do this whilst they are still being paid, all be it late, unless they had a new club lined up.
-
Depends how much of his wages you are willing to pay. I heard Stoke were offering just 40% with no loan fee AND you had to start paying his wages again as soon as the season ended ie for the months he is away with England. That sort of deal is not going to help pay HMRC on the 12th is it?
-
depends if he will be first choice at Stoke. Spurs could not offer him games. If Sorensen goes then its a no brainer for him.
-
a 10% holding.
-
What is the situation regarding Sorensen? As I understood it he was off to Bayern Munich and that is why they needed a new keeper? Is that move still happening and dependant on bringing someone on? Or is that move for the summer? This will have a major bearing on the price.
-
you really don't like him do you? Each to their own I suppose, but IMO he's been terrific in the majority of games for us and especially since he got back in the side after the nightmare at SMS against Tranmere.
-
small chance? You're a premierhip side FFS. Talk about covering your arse.
-
they're re-signing Manuel Fernandes on loan apparently
-
if he throws it out and we lose posession straight away then you can bet your bottom dollar that bloke will moan then as well. IMO its only on the odd occasion that he could go for the long ball early, but on the whole his safety first choices make sense. Whats more annoying is not having at least one or two players on the half way line when defending corners. They were tiny. There was no need whatsoever in bringing back both Lambert and Barnard. Lets at least give ourselves a chance of latching on to a hoofed clearance. Half these palyesr in the box are rubbish in the air anyway.

which is about £170,000 to us.
-
correct so if he goes for lets say £700,000 then we get £10,000. Any rumour on the fee? Every little helps.
-
perhaps if Gillett move is resurected by Donny Stock will make the switch. Other than that I can't see anything happening. Do all loans need to be finalised today as well or can they be done after the window closes?
-
seeing as they have named 7 subs can we trust anything in this article?
-
Tells Stories said that they had had no problem enticing players even with the fear of not getting paid.. Anyone else amazed that they are paying Grant £1m?

Puncheon Signs 3 1/2 Yr Contract at Saints
Chez replied to Somewhere In Northam's topic in The Saints
we didn't actually sell anyone in last January's transfer window. -
What if Donny make a last day offer for Gillett?

I agree with you that Lambert was poor. He has been very average for a while. The service has been **** to him which makes him look bad, but he hasn't been sharp enough. He will still score goals though, but he misses Connelly. Waigo starting might help him. As for Wotton. Blimey. A terrible player that played badly today.
-
Tells stories said on Thursday that they had had no enquiries at all about any of their players apart from Spurs' enquiry about Kaboul and Begavic. You can't sell if you have no customers.
-
the wage bill is closer to £3m not £2m. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/p/portsmouth/8446488.stm The £1.8m figure appearning in the papers derives from the fact they were £1.8m short teh first time they were paid late. The Kaboul money won't go far, no matter what Tells Stories says. Like he knows anything about the finances these days anyway.
-
no one ever doubts his desire, but this is professional football. There has to be more. He is so slow, he doesn't get close enough to make the tackles we need him to. Woeful display on Tuesday and no better today. He has heart but no ability whatsoever.

bloody hell Stockport were terrible. I know they have been stripped of the best players due to financial problems, but they offered nothing. They hardly got out of their own half. Two shots on goal, both powerder puff. Never a chance of ever losing the game, ever. I hope that p0uts things into context in terms of the result, because we struggled big time. There was so little creativity in the first half, but not just that, there was a lack of pace to oru play and a lack of direction. Do we even know what we are trying todo? Once goal went in th egame changed on its head. People will point to Waigo changing the game, and he certainly did play well, but the whole team woke up and it looked as though we'd score three or four. Those last 20 minutes don't make up for the 70 flat minutes before them, but they offer a little hope that we can raise our game. Davis 7 couple of catches, two basic saves. Very quiet. Semi 6 very little to cope with, but still didn't get close enough when they did get our of their own half. Some overlapping. Fonte 8 solid, some hoofing in first half Seaborne 9 hardly put a foot wrong. some decent passing as well. Not much hoof. Very little to cope with Mills 5 woeful first half. Poor decisions and terrible passing and hoofing. Got much better in the second half Holmes 8 decent game overall, although like everyone else offered little in the first half. Some nice attacking play, beat his man a couple of times and delivered decent crosses. He didn't have to track back so not tested defensively. Wotton 4 slow, dilly dallied on the ball, backwards passing. Did nothing except put his head in where it hurts once. I expect better of a centre midfielder. Morgan 7 got better as the game went on. Could do with a partner that actually moves to pass to. Antonio 7 Again loads of endevour, effort, drive and confidence to beat his man. Some very poor crossing in the first half, slightly better in the second. Creates stuff. Starting to secure his position in the starting team. Lambert 4 did **** all. As great as he is at taking free kicks he has to do a lot lot more than that. Lucky to stay on the pitch IMO. Barnard 6 plenty of effort and on another day would have scored with the first header, but no real threat. Waigo 9 never gave the ball away and passed first time. Sped our play up and was a threat with the long ball over the top. He is a striker. Have said this for months and months. Lets play him there. Lets play him.
