  1. You will see that my marks mirror yours except for Perry and Euell. When Maynard was beating the offiside and running us ragged who was marking him? As for Euell could he have done much more. I'm not a fan of him in the middle but he gave everything today - I thought that was all fans demanded of their players? Davis saves a pen (that hits him) and gets an 8, Euell sweats blood and gets a 5???? I'm not trying to discredit Davis I just think an all round display deserves a higher mark than someone that does one great thing all game.
  2. Wotte is right, we should have got something from this game. We totally dominated in the second half and how we didn't take at least one chance I will never know.
  3. A game of two halves for me. First half we were second best (Delabola took the ****) and we were rightly behind even if the pen was soft and the goal may have been offside. Second half we bossed it completely and were encamped in their half. Sadly we didn't do quite enough to grab that all important goal but a draw would have been a fair result IMO. Wotte has got his tactics all wrong for me. He picked a very good eleven with Euell and Wotton tigerish in the middle, but with skillful players like Surman and Schneiderlin out wide and McGoldrick down the middle we need the ball on the deck. Instead all we did first half was boot it hopefully down the channels. Time after time we did this and gave posession straight back to City. OK now and then this is a good tactic but not every single time. Once we started passing short we looked good and opened city up. First half was wasted. Davis - 8 Pen was straight at him as was the 1 on 1 with Delabola. I thought he made a poor decision not to come for their goal but defence was to blame not him. Not all that busy. James -7 decent game although far too easily beaten by Adelbola in first half, lovely first touch and got forward well. Crossing was poor though. Seijs 8 Tremendous game. 100% comitted, one everything and some decent passing as well. Perry 5 Too slow to get close to Maynard. Passed it IMO. Skacel 6 Solid display. I'm always harsh on him so I will leave it at that. Schneiderlin 6 - some nice work in posession and he looked comitted (got booked for his 6th tackle of the season). Putting him out wide meant we got rid of our soft centre. Didn't create anyting going forward though. Euell 8 Tiger in midfield and some decent touches on the ball as well. 100% Comitted throughout and gave everything. Unlucky to hit the post. Wotton 6 Equally comitted diving into some ugly looking 50:50. Some decent distubution, the best I have seen of him, but still gave it away a lot. Not sure he should have been subbed - we lost our way for 5 minutes after. Surman (first half 1 second 6) Not helped by Wottes tactic of booting it down the channels rather than getting it to his feet, but when he did get it he gave it away. Woke up in the second half and as we got it down and played he got into the game. McGoldrick 3 - Not helped by the down the channel serice at all - get it to his ****ing feet - but other than one excellent run in the first half where we should have scored he was ineffective. Saga 3 gave the ball away a lot. Won nothing in the air, jogged across the line a lot. McClaggon 7 much much sharper than last time. Got th eball under control and got us moving forward. Much more of a threat than Saga. Lallana 7 got us passing and what do you know we become a threat. Failed to hug the byeline but on this occasion he can be forgiven as he had a positive impact. We started to open them up once he came on. Gillett - looked sharp passed it well enough.
  4. only small percentage sung that song. Saga was **** IMO. If he doesn't score he what does he do? I'll tell you, he gets the ball to feet and then nine times out of ten he loses it. When he pops a goal in you forgive and forget is failing in his game, but when he doesn't score you tend to look at his all round game and it sucks.
  5. knowing our luck he won't be injured.
  6. if we go into administration now then not a single fan is going to pay for an individual match day ticket as we will be relegated. With a minimum of 3000 turning up for most games that adds up to £420,000 in lost revenue on tickets alone (based on £20 a ticket).
  7. Vaz Te is out till June.
  8. with raft of games coming up for both Manure and Chelsea you can bet you bottom dollar that it won't be either of those. Wellbeck is bloody starting in FA Cup games, and Dos Santos came on in the Stoke game a couple of weeks ago. Ben Sahar didn't get a game whilst on loan at the Skates. They clearly want him to get experience.
  9. web invented 89 and Branfort sacked in 94. Didn't you get the `hope he dies soon' email?
  10. so brover, apart from a new 32k seater stadium, a state of the art training ground, a thriving youth academy that has produced enough talent to keep the club afloat through these hard times, and stadium catering that is the envy of the modern world, what has Rupert Lowe ever done for us!
  11. so his company is going to the wall but his personal fortune is growing nicely thank you very much. Who polices this sort of thing?

    nigel pearson

    Agent Pearson. Instant smile.
  13. I'd be more than happy to see Patterson get another chance. Apart from the tackle he has looked a decent player and ready right now. Smith can do one.
  14. would they? Perhaps no one wanted to buy them and decided they would loan them until January and then see how the land lies.
  15. IMO we need a centre midfielder that can put a tackle or two in. Mehdi Nafti might be an option. How about Lauren from the skates. He has been ****e for them but this is a league apart. Glem little could fill the vacant right midfield slot.
  16. I'd of happily taken Djimi Traore off the skates hands for three months as Brum have just done. I'd opf stuck him alongside Seijs instead of Perry. Some extra height at the back would not go a miss.
  17. How quickly people forget that it was Skacel that wanted out last season to ensure his place in the national side for the Euros. Hamburg had an option on him to sign him on a perment deal but they didn't take it up. Skacel had no choice but to come back. Obviously in the summer Lowe wanted him off the wage bill and was more than happy to agree a fee with Ipswich. Ipswich didn't offer the right kind of wages so Skacel stayed. Its quite clearly a case of player wanting out and club happy for him to leave. All that has stopped this happening is the player wanting the same wage at any new club. Not sure why so many fans back this guy to the hilt. Is there a player in the squad less committed to the club I wonder? Mind you even with half an eye on a move he's still better than Holmes.
  18. yeah that Guthrie fella was rubbish.
  19. shows the folly of signing Molyneux - if Rudi is only going to be considered at left back - especially as we have no right back at the club.
  20. Heartly recommend following England at a tournement. Been to the last few and got tickets on ebay (overpriced of course) in advance for some and then at the games themselves from touts and locals. In contrast to the qualifiers where the away following tends to be inundated by `yoof' the tournements see so many England fans travel that the idiots are dilluted.
  21. swap `conned' for `raped and pilaged'.
  22. He gets Pennant in on loan then immediately plays him down the middle whilst keeping Nugent out wide. Thanks but no thanks. He's clueless.
  23. When are we playing Brum, if its any time soon we will win there, they are woeful, as bad as us. However, other than perhaps Watford and Charlton games I'm not sure I can see a victory elsewhere. Things can change quickly in football though so perhaps we'll not win away as well as not win at home...
  24. At the start of the season I said we would be relegated. Nothing has changed that opinion. With the squad we assembled we are exactly where I thought we'd be. I have to say some extremely decent football in the earlier part of the season raised my heart but the horrible defats at Coventry and at home to Watford and the recent late surrenders are all typical of relegated sides. With this crop of players no manager would keep us up. They are the worst I have ever seen in 25 years of going to games.
  25. he's right, the weather did effect the turn out, but midweek games have seen poor crowds for yonks now. He's also right that we were very quiet - the worst atmosphere ever at SMS in my opinion, but not surprising considering the terrible football on display. Gone are the days of passing entertaining stuff followed by niave defending and defeats. Now its hoof ball **** followed by defeat.
