  1. here's an idea, how about someone take this law to task. It is complete and utter ********. I'd of thought any sober judge that heard the line "how do you propose we get to and from our seats without standing?" would abolish it right there and then.
  2. I'm sick and tired of reading ****e like this. Saga is not a ****ing god. He has been absolute dog **** in the last few games and he should have been subbed ages before he was. I kno0w the guy can score goals but the other ten men and no where near good enough to carry him all night long. We were 1-0 up FFS. We didn't even need a bloody goal, what we needed was a striker that actually did something. If you were Patterson sat on the sidelines watching Saga waltz about, falling over, winning **** all in the air, giving the ball away every time he gets it and effectively being a passenger, would you wonder what the **** the manager was doing. Patterson can score goals, did you not see his goal against Ipswich. No one, and I mean no one is too good to be subbed.
  3. behave, if you don't want to be annoyed by people that want to stand up then don't sit right next to them.
  4. the law is an arse, if it is safe to walk to your seat, safe to stand up when you go home and safe to stand up during exciting moments then it is safe to stand full stop. Bull**** laws like this are there to be questioned.
  5. bottler, lightweight, not particulary pacey, no end product, casual, out of his depth. He can dribble and he does have half a trick (one decent dribble in one game caught the eye) but IMO he has done next to nothing in all the games he has played. What dissapoints me is that after three absolute shockers he gets a contract till the end of the season. Those three outings were proof IMO that he was not up to it an he should have been cut loose. The fact Lallana and Schneiderlin (bith more suited to a central role) are ahead of him for right midfield shows the folley of that decision. Thomson and McLaggan offer equal levels of youthful niavity to Smith, why not play them instead? The transfer policy at this club over the last 10 months have been attrocious. Only Seijs has looked a good signing. Why we signed Robertson and Pekhard when Patterson was waiting in the wings I will never know. The same applies to Molyneux, Mills looks a better player to me. Why was Forecast brought into the club. We have 4 keepers. With our money problems we should have two with a youngster. If we suffer injuries then we can could have used the emergency loan system. Wotton is ****e and despite what you hear, Lee Holmes is rubbish - slow, lightweight, no engine, crap. I have serious doubts about Pulis but I'll wait to see him before I write him off, and Gasmi, well what can you say. Schneiderlin may prove to be a capable player (he clearly has talent) but a non tackling central midfield player has to be bloody good. I know money is tight but could we have spent what we have any worse?
  6. I heard that same rumour in the Varsity before the game.

    Schneiderlin

on the official website - "he signed a four year contract that could rise to 1.5 million Euros." When he signed (June 2008)the Euro was 1.55 to the Pound so an initial 750,000 Euro payment (if that was the first installement - who knows) would have been about £485,000. But seeing as payments are staggered over the course of the four years the remaining 750,000 Euros would cost £695,000 based on the current exchange rate. Effectively as the Pound has weakened Morgan has got more expensive.
  8. what the **** are you talking about. Surman has been tremendous in recent weeks. Poor yesterday but any Premiership scout looking at him for left midfield would have seen great potential.
  9. perhaps we will remortgage to reduce that annual fee.
  10. cos they sold 17k season tickets at 50p each before churning out bi-weekly ****e for them.

    Schneiderlin

a DM that has made four or five tackles all season. No wonder we are second bottom.
  12. he sure knows how to do the least amount possible in a game without people noticing he is lazy. Skacel has real quality on the ball but when people are not looking at him he just can't be arsed. Shame. A real waste of talent IMO.
  13. a lot. Decent first touch, good engine, ability to beat a man, scores goals, tackles. None of which could be seen last night where he had an absolute mare, but his off the ball running alone will be missed badly when he leaves.

    Schneiderlin

classy on the ball and a very good passer. One diagonal ball across to Euell last night stood out for me in what was a very dull game, Unfortunatley at the moment the negatives outweight the positives - he doesn't tackle, he's a complete bottle job (he got hurt last night twice and on both occasions it was because he didn't fully commit to the tackle/header) and he simply does not grab hold of a game and dictate it. That said he's been unlucky with injuries and it takes time for a lot of French players to find their feet over here. I'm hopeful that next season he can push on. The guy has class and there is not a lot of that at SMS these days.
  15. if they're of the same quality of Smith then don't bother.
  16. fair point and if no season tickets had been sold at the start if the season I would bet that our recent 13k crowd (it was more like 12k IMO) would have been closer to 7k
  17. indeed it is and its pretty difficult to predict results in the CCC. I've already written off Sheff Wed and Wolves away but even those games might produce a shock.
  18. Agreed, besides I don;t want to see Molyneux back in the side this season. But Lallana is struggling though with this knock.
  19. Right midfield appears to be a problem position with neither Schneiderlin nor Lallana really suitable for that role. Defensively McGoldrick wins headers at set peices but apart from that I thnk Lallana offers just as much in that position if not more.
  20. I always thought that a larger than normal percentage of our crowd at SMS was youngsters and the retired - both group of which are not affected as much by the downturn. You'd think that clubs that traditionally have a very large 20-40 year old following would be more susceptical to an economic downturn.
  21. despite ticket prices being reduced this season a lot of Brum fans are extremely ****ed off at the way they were treated (like cash cows) when the going was good. The board is worth over a Billion quid yet they broke even every season (without hands going in board members pockets) at the expense of fans paying well over the odds for absolute ****e football all season. I might add that nothing has changed in that regard, they have stunk St Andrews up all season and their home results are not a reflection on how they have performed. I think you'll find a lot of undeserved 1-0s, and plenty of last minute goals etc. disguising many abject displays. It seems then that its not only Saints fans that have been treated like `customers' over the last five years and now are telling fat cat owners where they can stick their £3 pie adn £4 prgrammes. Greedy ****ers.
  22. Chez

    brum crowd

I wouldn't bet against that depending on the price of ST's. Over £300 and I think we'll be hard pushed to sell 7000 and as we have seen non ST sales have been very small. Add to this tiny away crowds as well.
  23. Chez

    brum crowd

how big do you think they are? You only have to look at their attendances when they dropped to the third tier to know that they have a very decent following indeed and are far from `tin-pot'. Its hard to explain the low crowds this season but as I understand it they have played poorly at home the entire season and their fans are just sick of watching **** despite haing multimillion pound owners who keep a tight reign on their own spending.
  24. I have no idea why so many of you rate him so highly. He has done nothing since he joined.
  25. Brum gave existing season ticket holders a free ticket to the FA cup game against Wolves this season. I think that is something fans would really appreciate as apposed to 5p off a game of ten pin ****ing bowling.
